As we strategically expand our capacity to meet the demands of our discerning clientele, we are in search of a dynamic and experienced CAD Designer/Drafter to spearhead the future state of our engineering department.Key Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for creating and editing CAD 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.</li><li>Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating corporate drafting standards and best practices.</li><li>Responsible for processing Engineering Change Notices and releasing to all applicable departments.</li><li>Must be able to measure components, acquire missing information, and ask questions necessary to complete the task.</li><li>Will review drawings for adherence to corporate drawing standards.</li><li>Will be the point of contact for troubleshooting SolidWorks PDM and working with our database service contractor.</li><li>Use Microsoft Office products to perform daily tasks.</li><li>Work closely with engineers to create and alter product designs as well as create model and drawing packages for quote and production.</li><li>Duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements and Skills<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience using SolidWorks to model and detail components and assemblies.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience using SolidWorks PDM.</li><li>Experience in producing drawings in accordance with ANSI Y14.5M and/or ISO specifications.</li><li>Must be detail-oriented and organized.</li><li>Must have the ability to work from sketches, concepts, and verbal information provided by engineers to create detailed layout drawings, assembly drawings, manufacturing detail drawings, and bill of materials.</li><li>Must be able to work effectively with engineers.</li><li>Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>Must be able to multi-task and complete tasks quickly, efficiently, and accurately.</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.</li><li>Must be results driven with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Must exhibit a strong work ethic.</li></ul>Additional Experience and Skills Considerations<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field, plus at least seven years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.</li></ul>Work Location: On-site daily in Brooklyn, NYTo learn more about Watermark Designs visit our website at www.Watermark-Designs.comJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Will you now, or at any point in the future, require sponsorship to legally work in the United States?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>SolidWorks PDM: 3 years (Required)</li><li>technical drawing: 3 years (Required)</li><li>ECO/ECN: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Brooklyn, NY 11207: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
