<div><div>Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required. Structural coursework is required for structural engineering positions.
Registration: Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is strongly preferred and may be required. Professional Engineering registration is preferred upon eligibility.
Experience: This position requires 1 to 3 years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural engineering.
Job Summary:
Generally responsible for performing complete design of less complex civil/structural engineering assignments. With experience in this level, you are expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex civil/structural engineering assignments. This work will be performed under close supervision.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:<ul><li>
Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.</li><li>
Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.</li><li>
Developing conceptual layouts and cost studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks at hand.</li><li>
Producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a project.</li><li>
Producing detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction associated with the project. Calculations produced will be neatly prepared and organized for efficient checking by others and efficient use by drafters/designers for preparing drawings and as a deliverable when required.</li><li>
Producing designs with efficient use of construction materials with an overall emphasis on ease of construction and completed product meeting the expectations of the client.</li><li>
Checking calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice.</li><li>
Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems. It is your responsibility to furnish sufficient sketches and details necessary for completion of engineering drawings.</li><li>
Consulting with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of the project.</li><li>
Advising the senior engineer concerning design or scope changes, which have been identified.</li><li>
Reviewing and checking vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for civil/structural input.</li><li>
Reviewing fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>
Performing fieldwork necessary to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide construction support.</li><li>
Develop construction specifications.</li><li>
Knowledgeable of the discipline specific methods, practices and techniques required to engineer, design and construct process and manufacturing projects.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:<ul><li>
Knowledge and application of the International Building Code and associated standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.).</li><li>
Developing expertise with civil/structural analysis software including operating and interpreting results.</li><li>
Knowledgeable of the discipline specific methods, practices and techniques required to engineer, design and construct process and manufacturing projects.</li><li>
Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, MicroStation or both.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.</li><li>
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed and able to provide interoffice execution support with supervision.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>

Structural Engineer II

<div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">What You'll Be Doing</h1>
Hargrove has partnered with a top tier paper mill in Longview, WA to assist on a headbox rebuild project. The rebuild will set the timeline for their scheduled outage in Fall of 2027. We are looking for an EPC Manager that can lead multidisciplinary teams, manage start up and commissioning, drive the schedule, and manage the budget. Must have wet-end experience working with a pulp and paper mill.
This is an 8-12 month project and per diem can be offered although local candidates will receive initial consideration.

Job Scope: EPC Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the paper machine project. This includes ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required technical and quality standards, from construction through commissioning and handover.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Engineering Management<ul><li>
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process).</li><li>
Review and approve:<ul><li>
Design (headbox, stock preparation, forming section, mechanical drive, machine control system, air systems, showers, vacuum system)</li><li>
P&amp;IDs, GA drawings, layouts, and process flow diagrams</li></ul></li><li>

Pulp & Paper EPC Project Manager

Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing routine design of less complex design assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignment in Meraux, LA.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:<ul><li>

Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project team.</li><li>
