</b></h1>The Harmony Square Director (HSD) is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Harmony Square neighborhood.
<p></p><ul><li>Conducts interviews, orientation, coaching and ongoing training of Harmony Square team members in accordance with associate training standards and regulatory guidelines.
</li><li>Supervise and direct Harmony Square team members (to include Harmony Square Life Enrichment Assistant, PCA&rsquo;s/CNA&rsquo;s) in conjunction with the Healthcare Director.
</li><li>Develops, plans, and implements purposeful resident programs to enrich the lives of residents and families within the community as well as through outside trips and events.
</li><li>Partner with Life Enrichment Director to hold Monthly Planning Meetings once a month to prepare for upcoming Monthly Programs and coordinate supplies.
</li><li>Partner and coordinate with entire program team (i.e LED, LE assistant, &amp; HS assistant) to complete planning form, organize supplies, plan the calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.
</li><li>Develops, plans, and implements a monthly program of activities and supplies based on the dimensions of wellness (i.e. Movement &amp; Motion, Curiosity &amp; Culture, Feelings &amp; Fellowship, Clarity &amp; Purpose, Compassion &amp; Connection and Leadership &amp; Volunteerism), Reflections signature programs and person-centered interests for the Harmony Square neighborhood.
</li><li>Lead 3-4 high quality, innovative programs per day.
</li><li>Plan and schedule weekly outings.
</li><li>Continuous assessment of resident needs in partnership with community clinical team, with updates to appropriate individuals (Healthcare Coordinator and Executive Director) as it relates to care and changes in resident condition and initiate interventions as necessary.
</li><li>Participates in Resident/Family Care Conferences.
</li><li>Participates in the Family Call Program as directed by the Executive Director
</li><li>Utilize and connect with local community resources.
</li><li>Develop relationships and connections with residents and families to encourage participation in programs and events and to promote a high level of resident and family satisfaction.
</li><li>Maintain a stimulating environment that promotes safety, security, and overall well-being in collaboration with the clinical team.
</li><li>Maintain Behavior Expression process.
</li><li>Ensure all aspects of dining are being met through partnership with the Director of Dining and Health Care Director.
</li><li>Complete state required care plans and service plans for Harmony Square residents in conjunction with the Healthcare Director.
</li><li>Partner with Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association and other local organizations to schedule, organize and participate in Support Group meetings monthly.
</li><li>Complete necessary training and insurance requirements to drive company vehicle.
</li><li>Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate care across disciplines (including life enrichment, clinical, dining services, etc.).
</li><li>Completes daily and bi-weekly neighborhood rounds.
</li><li>Leads and organizes daily huddles.
</li><li>Attend Monthly Programming calls.
</li></ul><p>Requirements:
</p><ul><li>Level of formal Education: associate or bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred or equivalent
</li><li>educations and/or experience; subject to state requirements
</li><li>Areas of Study: Recreation, activities, geriatrics, and dementia care.
</li><li>Years and type of Experience: Three to five years&rsquo; experience working with individuals
</li><li>with Dementia including leading programs, managing Behavior expression, and educating
</li><li>staff and families on Alzheimer&rsquo;s and Dementia.
</li><li>Special Certificates: Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner
</li><li>preferred or eligible for certification. Must maintain applicable state
</li><li>requirements of dementia specific training.
</li><li>Skills &amp; Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills.
</li><li>Experience supervising and managing staff. Must possess critical thinking
</li><li>skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
</li><li>Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities
</li><li>for seniors with Dementia. Experience with Behavior Expressions
</li><li>redirection and interventions. Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and a
</li><li>good driving record. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days,
</li><li>evenings, weekends, and holidays.
