DEPARTMENT: Welding</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
BASIC FUNCTION:</b></div><div></div><div><br>
Perform, under minimum supervision, the function of lay-out, fabricating and mig welding.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Interpret simple to difficult drawings, sketches and/or work from samples and instruction.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Clean, cut and prepare various metals for welding.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Set-up and perform mig welding on items for customer products.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Safely operate various pieces of equipment such as the saw, cutting torch, presses (hydraulic drill and punch), brakes, etc. in order to produce various sub-assemblies.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Responsible for producing acceptable work which meets or exceeds all Quality Control Standards.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Requisition welding supplies in order to maintain an uninterrupted flow of welded product.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Safely operate various forms of material handling equipment such as hoists, cranes, tow motors, etc.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><br>
<ul><li>
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.</li></ul></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Exhibit interpersonal skills sufficient to perform as an active team member.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Perform other duties as assigned or required by company management.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Must have high school diploma or acceptable equivalent.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Must be able to obtain welding certification within six months of hiring date.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Able to safely handle various forms of material handling equipment such as hoists, cranes, etc.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Requires attention and care to prevent injury to self and others when performing work.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Ability to use various measuring tools.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
1 &ndash; 3 years welding experience preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Routine stooping and bending.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Occasional heavy lifting &ndash; up to 50 lbs.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Ability to stand 7+ hours per day.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</b></div><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Demonstrate a positive and business-like attitude.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Required to wear all OSHA mandated safety equipment and to adhere to all company safety practices and policies.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><ul><li>
Conduct all interactions with customers (internal and external), vendors, field sales representatives, co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous and respectful manner.</li></ul><br>
