Hours will be Monday through Friday. This position works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and performs any pharmacy related functions. No experience necessary to be a pharmacy technician!Essential Job Functions<ul><li>Able to verify patient information on prescription is complete and accurate</li><li>Enters prescription into pharmacy software system, prepares prescription, labels container, price and file the prescription to be checked by the pharmacist before it is given to the patient</li><li>Establish and maintain patient files</li><li>Prepare and file insurance claims</li><li>Stock and inventory prescription medication</li></ul>Non&ndash;essential Job Functions<ul><li>Assist patients and customers in retail store</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Must be registered with the applicable state within required time period and certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within one year of date of hire</li><li>Certification needs to be current and renewed as necessary</li><li>Must be detail oriented and precise</li><li>Strong customer service and teamwork skills</li></ul>Other Skills/Abilities<ul><li>Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy and store staff</li></ul>Required licenses or certifications<ul><li>Certification required within one year of date of hire by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board</li><li>Certification must be renewed every two years</li></ul>Continuing Education requirements<ul><li>Twenty hours of continuing education, including one hour of Pharmacy Law, for certificate renewal</li></ul>Relevance for compliance with ADA<ul><li>None at this time</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
