We are currently putting together a stellar team that will help achieve this goal.About the Role We are hiring a hands-on Head of Construction to lead execution across a growing portfolio of hotel-to-multifamily conversion projects in the Northeast. This is not a corporate oversight role&mdash;we&rsquo;re looking for someone who has personally delivered complex projects and can drive results in the field and at the budget level.What You&rsquo;ll Do <ul><li>Lead projects from pre-construction through completion, with direct involvement in execution</li><li>Own budgets, cost tracking, and value engineering&mdash;ensure projects hit pro forma</li><li>Manage GCs, subs, and field teams, stepping in as needed to solve problems in real time</li><li>Build scopes, review bids, and negotiate directly with subcontractors</li><li>Develop and maintain a strong subcontractor network across the Northeast</li><li>Oversee permitting, inspections, and regulatory processes</li><li>Hire and lead a team of PMs, estimators, and superintendents</li><li>Partner with acquisitions to validate construction assumptions during underwriting</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For <ul><li>10+ years of hands-on construction experience (not just oversight or corporate roles)</li><li>Proven track record delivering $20M+ projects</li><li>Experience with ground-up, heavy renovation, or adaptive reuse projects</li><li>Background working at a GC or real estate developer in a build-focused role</li><li>Strong experience with budgeting, cost control, and subcontractor management</li><li>Comfortable operating in both union and non-union environments</li><li>Deep familiarity with construction across CT, NY, NJ, and/or MA</li></ul>Must-Have <ul><li>Have personally run jobs end-to-end, not just managed from a distance</li><li>Strong cost discipline and value engineering mindset</li><li>Ability to build and lead teams while staying close to execution</li><li>Established subcontractor relationships in the Northeast</li></ul>Nice to Have <ul><li>Experience with hotel conversions or asset repositioning</li><li>Familiarity with HUD financing or affordable housing</li></ul>Compensation <ul><li>Competitive base salary</li><li>Performance-based bonus</li><li>Long-term incentive participation potential</li><li>Health benefits and paid time off</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $140,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
