<div><div>SUMMARY:
Responsible for the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of building automation systems. A successful HVAC Controls Technician applies engineering principles and practices to complete assigned projects, designs cost effective solutions to meet project requirements and develops positive working relationships with all company divisions and customers.
 POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, overtime may be required based upon project needs
 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:<ul><li>
Interprets controls drawings, plans and specifications</li><li>
Maintains technical knowledge through required training and consistent review of product catalogs, specifications and dealer websites.</li><li>
Designs and programs systems utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings.</li><li>
Configures programs, graphics and alarms for site specific control systems.</li><li>
Creates installation, submittal and as-built drawings, and assists engineering in related close-out documents.</li><li>
Assists with final validation of system operation.</li><li>
Provides project team with technical direction and assists with programming, electrical terminations, commissioning, graphic development, test and startup as required.</li><li>
Utilizes a variety of hand tools and test equipment, and maintains tools and equipment for proper functionality.</li><li>
Demonstrates ability to manage time and job needs across multiple projects.</li><li>
Serves as a direct customer contact, provides training and sustains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, communicating with staff and providing customer feedback.</li><li>
Some travel with occasional overnight stays.</li><li>
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.</li><li>
Other duties as required.</li></ul>

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
 QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in control/mechanical systems are required.</li><li>
Tridium Niagara experience required</li><li>
Honeywell or Alerton experience highly preferred</li><li>
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project and engineering drawing tools.</li><li>
Familiarity with the concepts of new construction, renovation/retrofit and service project management.</li><li>
Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes associated with the installation of building automation systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems and temperature controls</li><li>
Ability to work independently and unsupervised.</li><li>
Customer service oriented, able to interact with and build a good rapport with customers.</li><li>
Ability to effectively present information to customers and team members individually or in a group setting.</li></ul>

This position requires working at construction sites, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The noise level in the work environment varies.
