The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) serves as a strategic partner supporting the HR needs of a rapidly growing organization at a single California warehouse facility. This role works closely with on‑site leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives in a fast‑paced, highly regulated employment environment. The HRG must be knowledgeable in both <b>federal</b> and <b>California state employment laws</b>, including wage‑and‑hour rules, CFRA, paid sick leave, mandatory training, posting requirements, and other compliance obligations.</p><p>
This position requires a proactive and detail‑oriented HR professional capable of managing employee relations, performance, and compliance, while fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment. The HRG also supports payroll accuracy through coordination with the payroll team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h1><div><ul><li>
Partner with on‑site leadership to understand HR needs and provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy adherence.</li><li>
Lead and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and employee engagement during transitions.</li><li>
Manage daily HR responsibilities and competing priorities in a fast‑paced work environment.</li><li>
Serve as a bilingual (Spanish/English) resource to support communication, investigations, and resolution of employee relations concerns.</li><li>
Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring compliance with California requirements such as Wage Theft Prevention Act notices and required workplace postings.</li><li>
Maintain accurate HRIS records and resolve pay‑related inquiries promptly.</li><li>
Develop solutions for facility‑specific challenges related to staffing, engagement, retention, and workforce performance.</li><li>
Facilitate open communication channels between employees and leadership to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with California employment regulations, including:<ul><li>
State minimum wage and daily overtime rules</li><li>
Meal and rest break requirements</li><li>
Paid sick leave, CFRA, and other required leaves</li><li>
Anti‑harassment and workplace violence prevention training</li><li>
Local city/county wage ordinances, if applicable</li></ul></li><li>
Prepare HR reports (turnover, headcount, etc.) to support workforce planning.</li><li>
Coordinate and support annual open enrollment and benefits communication.</li><li>

Required Qualifications</b></h1><div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>
3+ years of HR Generalist or similar experience; warehousing, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.</li><li>
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) highly preferred.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of federal and California state employment laws.</li><li>
Experience supporting HR operations within a single facility or similar environment.</li><li>
Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including record-keeping, reporting, and auditing.</li><li>
