We are growing and looking for a skilled craftsman who takes ownership, solves problems, and wants to grow with us. DO NOT CALL OR COME BY OUR OFFICE.The Ideal Candidate Is Highly Skilled In:<ul><li>Framing and rough carpentry</li><li>Finish carpentry including trim, doors, and windows</li><li>Tile installation including custom showers, floors, and backsplashes</li><li>Flooring installation of multiple material types</li><li>General remodeling with a high standard of workmanship</li><li>Reading a job site, identifying what needs to happen, and making it happen without waiting to be told</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience in remodeling, carpentry, tile, or finish work. Five or more years preferred but skill and dependability matter more than years on a resume.</li><li>The ability to walk onto a job site, assess the situation, and move forward without hand-holding. We need a problem solver, not someone who shuts down when a question comes up.</li><li>High attention to detail. We do premium work and the finished product has to prove it.</li><li>The ability to lead others by example and bring less experienced team members along as we grow.</li><li>Strong work ethic. We compensate well for people who perform at a high level and take ownership of their work.</li><li>Good character and attitude. If this is not you, please do not apply.</li><li>Valid driver's license.</li></ul>Additional Information:<ul><li>Full-time position based in Rocky Mount, VA</li><li>Non-smoking environment including vaping and e-cigarettes. This applies to the office, company vehicles, and all job sites.</li><li>We keep things family-friendly here including our language and our conduct on the job.</li><li>1 week paid time off after your first year. The company also shuts down for approximately 4 weeks throughout the year around major holidays, fully paid.
