POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy technician II assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy Technician II work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. 
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES<ul><li>
Enters prescriptions accurately, generates labels, and sorts orders by delivery method.</li><li>
Selects the correct medication and dosage for patient containers.</li><li>
Maintains and organizes inventory by rotating stock, identifying outdated items, and storing supplies correctly.</li><li>
Ensures accurate restocking of medication dispensing areas.</li><li>
Maintains thorough documentation, including logs and records, in compliance with standards.</li><li>
Enters charges and credits accurately for patient medications.</li><li>
Attends meetings, completes required competencies, and participates in ongoing training.</li><li>
Always preserves patient and departmental confidentiality.</li><li>
Provides responsive customer service by answering phones, addressing inquiries at the window, and demonstrating strong communication skills.</li><li>
Keeps pharmacy areas and equipment clean, neat, and well organized.</li><li>
Organizes and prioritizes tasks to maintain efficient workflow.</li></ul> 
Work Experience 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Education: None</li><li>
Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of Pharmacy Technician experience.</li><li>
Licensure: Any one of the following prior to start date:</li></ul><ul><li>
Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Florida OR</li><li>
Pharmacy Intern registration in the State of Florida.</li></ul><ul><li>
Certification: None</li><li>
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</li></ul><ul><li>
Ability to work independently.</li><li>
Patience, positive attitude, cooperation, working well with others, friendly, problem solving skills, analytical skills, attention to detail - thoroughness.</li><li>
Attention to accuracy, organized, good communications skills (orally and in writing), ability to handle and work well under stress.</li><li>
Good listening skills, good social skills, perform multiple tasks at one time, and can make quick accurate decisions.</li><li>
Ability to evaluate medical literature.</li></ul>
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Certification:</li></ul><ul><li>
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), or National Health Career Association (NHA).</li><li>
Immunization certification.</li><li>
American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR AED course.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.</li><li>
May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.</li><li>
May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.</li><li>
May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.</li><li>
May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.</li><li>
May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.</li><li>
Communicating with others to exchange information.</li><li>
Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.</li><li>
Workspace may vary from open to confined.</li><li>
May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.</li></ul>

POSITION SUMMARY
The Phlebotomist I provides high-quality phlebotomy and laboratory service by ensuring optimal support of laboratory testing activities through timely, accurate specimen collection and preparation. The Phlebotomist I interacts with customers/patients in a friendly, courteous, professional, and appropriate manner to provide high-quality and safe care. 
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES<ul><li>
Complies with all Health First, Health First Laboratory policies and procedures, along with allpertinent federal and state accreditation agency requirements.</li><li>
Complies with policies, procedures, processes in the collection and processing of patient specimens and provision of patient services, including offsite phlebotomy services as applicable.</li><li>
Meets goals and shows commitment to continuous improvement of performance metrics developed to provide quality patient care.</li><li>
Assures valid patient results as evidenced by zero patient or sample identification errors in the pre-analytical and post-analytical phases of laboratory procedures per evaluation period.</li><li>
Demonstrates the appropriate skill sets as determined by Competency Assessments.</li><li>
Performs basic computer skills pertinent to job performance.</li><li>
Meets departmental staffing demands (i.e., holidays, weekends, coverage for illness and/or emergencies, reduced operations, increased workload) per department expectations and demonstrates effective time management.</li><li>
Complies with the Health First I-Care values and demonstrates effective communication with coworkers and management to include proper escalation when necessary.</li><li>
Performs Point of Care Testing (POC) on the lab menu at the assigned site, correctly and in a timely manner, if applicable.</li><li>
Participate in Proficiency Testing as determined by state regulations, if applicable.</li><li>
Assists with the performance of lab registration, insurance eligibilities, authorizations, and payments, if applicable.</li><li>
Additional duties as assigned by laboratory administration.</li></ul> 

Work Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent OR</li><li>
Proof of graduation from a Phlebotomy Training Program provided within 90 days of start date.</li></ul><ul><li>

Licensure: None</li><li>
Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.</li><li>
Work Experience in Lieu of Training Program: One (1) year of venipuncture experience.</li><li>
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</li></ul><ul><li>
Strong computer skills, excellent customer service skills.</li><li>
good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize and organize work.</li></ul>
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>

POSITION SUMMARY
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by assisting licensed personnel in providing direct nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. 
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES<ul><li>
Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.</li><li>
Provides care to patients in a clean and safe environment.</li><li>
Competently performs routine procedures, delivering basic care to patients as directed by RN.</li><li>
Provides service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their expectations, age, cultural and individual needs.</li><li>
Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and flexibility in assisting other associates and maintaining productivity.</li><li>
Responds to call lights and completes other assigned tasks in a timely manner.</li><li>

Work Experience 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Education:</li></ul><ul><li>
Current enrollment in an RN or LPN program with successful completion of hands on clinical coursework.</li><li>
May remain in Nurse Tech role up to one (1) year after graduation from LPN/RN professional nursing program, until LPN/RN license obtained, or NCLEX is failed twice, whichever occurs first.</li></ul><ul><li>
Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider and maintain.</li><li>
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</li></ul><ul><li>
Must meet unit-specific care requirements.</li><li>
Ability to speak and understand verbal and written instructions in the English language.</li><li>
Ability to focus and prioritize multiple activities.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &ndash; Moderate<ul><li>
