This 20,000 sq ft facility serves over 5,000 residents, offering a diverse range of programs and services. Manages and directs all operational, administrative, and programming aspects of a department(s) within a large, community focused client site, ensuring the highest level of participation, results achievement, and customer service. Responsible for assisting in strategic business planning, staff supervision, program design &amp; facilitation, administrative tasks, contract compliance, and data analysis. Also oversees all promotions and outreach activities with the support of their department coordinators.<div></div><div>
Key Accountabilities</div><ul><li>
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, onboarding, training, evaluating, developing, and succession planning. Determines and assigns work assignments to ensure staff remains challenged and productivity is maximized. Promotes and encourages career growth.</li><li>
Ensures staff is properly trained and holds HealthFitness approved certifications needed for safe and effective program delivery. Provides continuous feedback and coaching to ensure quality of all program and service delivery. Conducts annual performance appraisals and may initiate formal corrective action as needed.</li><li>
Leads regular staff meetings to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness as well as onsite events, initiatives, and status. Attends Leadership meetings.</li><li>
Submits payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to policy.</li><li>
Develops and implements the yearly strategic business plan to identify deliverables, service offerings and initiatives, targeted outcomes, and marketing strategy.</li><li>
Prepares and manages operating budget. Ensures expenditures are made in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.</li><li>
Tracks participant and program data for measurement of goal achievement, outcomes, and results. Creates outcomes focused reports based on business plan goals and objectives.</li><li>
Coordinates marketing and communications to maximize membership, utilization, and engagement. Supports and participates in community events, outreach, networking, and onsite special events.</li><li>
Maintains accurate records and ensures confidentiality of data collected during health assessment and health promotion/membership activities in accordance with HealthFitness requirements, including if applicable file transfer, processes, collaborating with related suppliers and/or storage.</li><li>
Other duties as needed/assigned.</li></ul><div><br>
Minimum Requirements</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, or related discipline OR the equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.</li><li>
2+ years related experience including previous supervisory experience.</li><li>
Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA (if not current, will be required within 90 days of hire).</li><li>
NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification from an Industry recognized and HealthFitness approved agency (if not current, will be required within 90 days of hire).</li><li>
Current Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Institute, or American Safety &amp; Health Institute required by start date. (Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant).</li><li>
Ability to lead, manage and operate a community, recreation, or fitness center.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.</li><li>
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.</li><li>
Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.</li></ul><div></div>
Compensation: $50K/Year - $56K/Year. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional commission opportunities for someone with an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved Personal Trainer certification.<div></div><div>
