<div>The Vice President of Procurement is a strategic executive responsible for leading the organization&rsquo;s procurement function, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and operational excellence. This role oversees the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of goods and services across all categories, while driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
A key aspect of the role involves close collaboration with the Operations team to ensure seamless integration between procurement strategies and day-to-day business execution. The VP of Procurement works hand-in-hand with operations leaders to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, streamline supply chain processes, and support production schedules. By aligning procurement with operational priorities, this role plays a critical part in enhancing agility, reducing waste, and improving service delivery across the enterprise.
The VP also partners with finance, operations, and C-suite executives to ensure procurement decisions are financially sound and supportive of innovation and growth.
Position Responsibilities and deliverables:
Strategic Leadership<ul><li>
Develop and implement a global procurement strategy aligned with corporate goals, growth plans, and sustainability initiatives.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for innovation in sourcing, supplier engagement, and procurement technologies.</li><li>
Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast procurement needs based on business expansion, product development, and market trends.</li></ul>
Supplier &amp; Contract Management<ul><li>
Build long-term, value-driven relationships with key suppliers and vendors across multiple categories and geographies.</li><li>
Lead complex contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.</li><li>
Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.</li></ul>
Operational Oversight<ul><li>
Oversee all procurement activities including direct materials, indirect spend, capital expenditures, and professional services.</li><li>
Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure consistency, transparency, and audit readiness.</li><li>
Drive digital transformation in procurement through automation, e-sourcing platforms, and data analytics.</li></ul>
Team Leadership &amp; Development<ul><li>
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing procurement team across multiple regions or business units.</li><li>
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.</li></ul>
Analytics, Forecasting &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>
Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and geopolitical risks to inform sourcing decisions.</li><li>
Use advanced analytics and ERP systems to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and manage working capital.</li><li>
Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions.</li></ul>
Cost Optimization &amp; Value Creation<ul><li>
Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.</li><li>
Lead value engineering efforts in collaboration with R&amp;D and operations to reduce total cost of ownership.</li><li>
Track and report procurement savings, ROI, and strategic impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Administration.</li><li>
10 - 15 years of related experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience</li><li>
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.</li><li>
Strong analytical and presentation skills. PowerBI and/or NetSuite experience a plus</li><li>
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced organization.</li><li>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
International supply chain exposure, sourcing direct a plus</li><li>
Experience of building and maintaining a vendor program.</li><li>
Proven ability to negotiate to achieve best value.</li><li>
Evidence of the ability to work collaboratively.</li><li>
