Position Summary
A Patient Experience Coordinator at the Healthy Community Health Center is a vital part of providing patient-centered healthcare that is accessible and affordable for all. Our Patient Experience Coordinators are part of a friendly and energetic team of professionals who support the health center in achieving patient centered medical care. The Patient Experience Coordinator is crafts a patients first impression through the phone or upon arriving at the health center.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Answering phones, locating and organizing patient records, and working collaboratively with all departments within the Health Center.</li><li>
Maintaining patient demographics and insurance records.</li><li>
Answering preliminary non-medical questions for patients.</li><li>
Organizing clinic calendars.</li><li>
Check in patients.</li><li>
Verifying demographics, insurance and sliding scale eligibility.</li><li>
Serving as a liaison between medical professionals and patients.</li><li>
Prepare the patients to have a successful interaction with the Health Center.</li><li>
Other responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>
Required Skills and Abilities<ul><li>
Team members are expected to demonstrate successful professional practices, patient care coordination, ethical accountability, and the preservation of patient and staff confidentiality.</li><li>
Must be able to organize patient information.</li><li>
Basic addition and subtraction mathematics skills.</li><li>
Proven typing skills.</li><li>
Ability to multitask such as: answering phones, greeting patients, entering information in a computer system.</li><li>
Possess good interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Able to work effectively with co-workers and the public.</li></ul>
Education and Experience<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Fluent in another language other than English preferred</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Sedentary work includes sitting for long periods of time.</li><li>
Light work, lifting up to 10 pounds.
</li><li>Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.</li><li>
Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.</li><li>
Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.</li><li>
Regular contact with staff members and general public is required.
