Overview Welcome to Sunset Montessori School, a 46-year-old school that is a subsidiary to the 89-year-old nonprofit organization, The Hearing and Speech Center of Florida. Our SMS program follows Montessori Methodology, and we seek dedicated staff members to grow and make our programs flourish. The school is quaint, small ratios, and has beautiful grounds for the staff, families, and children to enjoy. Since we are a nonprofit organization, there is much room for employees to grow and expand on their skills.We are currently seeking a preschool lead teacher with Montessori Expertise in early childhood (*Bilingual preferred but MUST BE fully English proficient). If teacher has early childhood experience/ degree, we will financially immediatey support the Montessori training certification courses.Requirements:<ul><li>Experience as a preschool teacher--Montessori preferred, for the preschool aged children (0-3; &amp; 3-6 certification)</li><li>DCF staff certificate required to work with preschool aged children ; director credential a plus! (we can facilitate)</li><li>Delivery of educational programs and activities, following the established Montessori methodology.</li><li>Manage classroom management and behavior management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty to promote student development and progress.</li><li>Participation in programmatic planning for all programmatic aspects.</li><li>Prepare instructional materials and resources for lessons including parent resources and communications.</li><li>Supervise all DCF requirements for safety, meal time, etc. to ensure safety and engagement.</li></ul>Join our team as a Lead teacher where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while growing your skills in an educational setting.SMS offers training and tuition reimbursement benefits as applicable; Salary for positions have a range and is based on educational degrees, certifications, and years of experience.; however, we will compete with current salary and market and will be competative.
