</b></h3><div><div><div><p>Heartbeat Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our virtual clinic Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:30 pm MST.</p><br>
<p></p>
<p><b>
Patient care:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Receive Warm hand off of patients from internal and external call transfers</li>
<li>Verify contact info</li>
<li>Schedule first MD visit</li>
<li>Establish plan for vitals</li>
<li>Conduct initial KCCQ survey</li>
<li>Obtain baseline vitals if able - to include weight</li>
<li>Medication reconciliation</li>
<li>Verify Medical history/diagnostics</li>
<li>Arrange for lab draw</li>
<li>Arrange for Diagnostics</li>
<li>Prepare patients for physician visits.</li>
<li>Connect with patients, ensure video and audio work, add interpreters as needed.</li>
<li>Obtain signed consent.</li>
<li>Obtain photos of insurance cards</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Clinical duties:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Utilize translator services to communicate with non-English speaking patients</li>
<li>Chart prep</li>
<li>Initiate visit</li>
<li>Document symptom's
</li><li>Record patient&rsquo;s height, weight and vitals based on outside records or patient's self reported information.</li>
<li>Identify and document the patient's preferred pharmacy in their chart under Profile.</li>
<li>Maintain communication with provider, reporting information relevant to visit</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Administrative tasks:</b></p>

<li>Schedule follow up appointments</li>
<li>Appt confirmation calls for next day</li>
<li>Chart checks</li>
<li>Chart Prep for visits for the next day</li>

</b></h3><div><div><div><ul><li><b>Education</b>: High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li><b>Certifications</b>: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required</li>
<li><b>Experience</b>:</li>
<li><ul><li>1-3 Years of experience as a Medical Assistant within Cardiology</li>
<li>Experience with providing virtual care to patients</li>

   Must have experience performing bedside or complete PFTs and understanding possible side effects of albuterol administration

   Proficiency in respiratory therapy practices, procedures, and terminology
  </li>
  <li>
   Comfortable working independently and traveling locally (within a 45 minute radius)
  </li>
  <li>
   Not required but desired bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  </li>
  <li>
   Available two to five days per week
