Hiring In-Office Senior Litigation AttorneyLocation: Downtown Orlando, Florida (In-person)Firm: Heatwole Law Firm, PAThe Heatwole Law Firm, PA, a boutique litigation firm in downtown Orlando, is looking to add a full-time Senior Attorney to our close-knit, highly collaborative team. Founded in 2012, our mission is to deliver Compassionate Justice&reg; to individuals and businesses across Central Florida. We focus on commercial/business litigation and family law, combining strong advocacy with personal attention to every client.We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney who is professional, client-centered, and thrives in a team-based environment.The ideal candidate either has experience in commercial/business litigation or in family law experience, and has a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal matters with care and integrity.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage a caseload of commercial/business or family law litigation matters from inception through resolution.</li><li>Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, etc.</li><li>Conduct legal research and incorporate into pleadings</li><li>Attend/handle court hearings, mediations, and depositions</li><li>Maintain accurate case files and work closely with team members to meet deadlines and client goals</li><li>Review discovery and formulate strategic case plans</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>At least 4 years&rsquo; experience handling litigation matters (ideally either business/commercial litigation or family law)</li><li>Litigation experience (including courtroom appearances)</li><li>Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar</li><li>Strong knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and relevant Florida Statutes</li><li>Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills</li><li>Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters in a fast-paced setting</li><li>High level of integrity, professional accountability, and commitment to ethical practice</li><li>Experience with mediation and negotiation, with a confident and measured approach to conflict resolution</li><li>A team player who is proactive, collegial, and committed to client service</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Retirement Plans: IRA/Roth IRA (including matching up to 3% for IRA)</li><li>Health Insurance Options</li><li>AFLAC policies available</li></ul>The Heatwole Law Firm fosters a supportive, family-friendly culture where attorneys and staff collaborate closely to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
