<div>Lead Python Engineer
You're a strong Senior/Lead level Python engineer who uses agentic tooling seriously in your day to day work. Not as a shortcut, but as a way to move faster and deliver better. You don't need someone to define every problem for you, but you're not looking to own the roadmap either. You want to do great engineering work on something that matters. If that's you, keep reading.
You'll be embedded into the product team of one of the UK's leading procurement platforms as your first project here. The platform connects organisations managing construction projects with the suppliers who deliver them. It's high-traffic and there's serious engineering work to be done at every layer of the stack.
Your focus is the Python and agentic side of the platform. You'll be building the Python services and AI-native features that sit at the heart of how this product works. The platform also runs on PHP/Laravel, so you'll need to get under the skin of that codebase to do the Python work properly. This is hands-on engineering across a real, live system, not a clean slate. 
 
To do this well, you'll need to be someone who:<ul><li>
Has strong experience at Senior and/or Lead Full Stack level in commercial, production Python environments</li><li>
Has used agentic engineering tools to ship real features</li><li>
Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure</li><li>
Has enough front end range to work with React.js when needed</li><li>
Is comfortable working in and around an existing PHP/Laravel codebase</li></ul>

Lead Python Engineer

 AI is changing how software gets built, fast, and we'd rather shape that than watch it happen. We're building our AI practice now, across the work we do for clients and the way we build internally, and we want someone to own it end to end.
 
 
 This isn't a strategy-deck role. You'll shape the vision for AI transformation across the business, set the technical agenda, and then actually build the thing. You'll be hands on with LLM APIs and agentic coding tools, and you'll be the person who gets the rest of the team building that way too.
 
 
 
 What You'll Do
 
 
 
 Own a portfolio of AI transformation objectives across our clients and inside the lab. Take real business needs and turn them into practical digital products. Design elegant solutions to demanding technical problems, ship the early versions yourself, then bring colleagues along by experimenting, guiding and supporting them so the new ways of working actually stick. You'll move between the keyboard and the boardroom, translating between technical and business audiences and getting people genuinely excited about the work.

The stack today is PHP/Laravel. That's where you'll start, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. The direction of travel is Python and a more modern, AI-native architecture. You'll be contributing to that transition as it happens.
To do this well, you'll need to be someone who:<ul><li>
Is comfortable working across PHP/Laravel and Python in commercial, production environments</li><li>
Has strong experience at Senior Full Stack level</li><li>
Has used agentic engineering tools to ship real features into production systems, not just personal projects</li><li>

The stack today is PHP/Laravel. That's where you'll start, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. The direction of travel is Python and a more modern, AI-native architecture. You'll be part of shaping how it gets there.
To do this well, you'll need to be someone who:<ul><li>
Is comfortable working across PHP/Laravel and Python in commercial, production environments</li><li>
Has strong experience at Lead or Senior Full Stack level</li><li>
Has shipped LLM or agentic tooling into real systems, not just experimented with it</li><li>
