<p>
Strategic Sourcing role facilitates growth initiatives for the business and is responsible for market understanding and purchasing of core material for the business. Finding material that can support the overall business and create the sales needed to help drive the Inventory Sales and exchange programs. Overall responsibility for the Rotable Sales Inventory level and working with the Inventory Sales manager, Shop Purchasing agents to support USM and Material purchases. It will align with internal business partners and work with the strategic supplier base to convert opportunities through strategic sourcing that bring value to our business. They will develop more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability by negotiating with suppliers to obtain goods, material and services at the best availability and price through strategic purchasing.
</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li>Take ownership in, facilitate, and effectively communicate, with sales, product line management and pricing, key sourcing opportunities and deliverables.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Create a superior customer experience by managing and delivering sourcing projects on time.</li>
<li>Create and maintain long-lasting relationships with our strategic supply base through communications and relationship building
</li><li>Help other Wencor shops with product support in the market if needed to support the core product initiative.</li>
<li>Recognize both tactical and strategic opportunities to create value through partnering with suppliers who can create a superior market advantage over our competition.</li>
<li>Work directly with Inventory sales team to help drive sales at core customers that brokered sales play a part of such as KLM.
</li><li>Work directly with our internal purchasing team to find product that can help drive cost down through USM purchasing.</li>
<li>Create higher sales through better acquisition and growth of inventory sales.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</b>
</p><ul><li>Analytically minded and able to review and interpret large amounts of data.
</li><li>Proven experience and knowledge in aerospace hardware sourcing processes.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excellent Excel Skills, and Outlook.</li>
<li>Must be able to work well with team members in a collaborative and respectful manner.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills.</li>
<li>Sound time-management and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to work independently.</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented and focused on results.</li>

<div><p><b>Education / Experience Requirements:</b> Bachelor's degree in administration, logistics, supply chain or related field or 5 years of equivalent experience</p>
