</div>Summary: The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production plans to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. This role serves as a key link between procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to meet customer demand and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Create and maintain detailed production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints and partner with master production scheduler to ensure production plans are achieved.</li>
<li>Meet with customers to align production plans and review other areas of business as needed</li>
<li>Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement or customer to prevent shortages or delays.</li>
<li>Partner with the production team to align daily production activities with established schedules and minimize disruptions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and ancillary teams to coordinate workflows, address constraints, and support operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of production activities and update ERP/MRP systems accordingly.</li>
<li>Communicate schedule changes and priorities to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations throughout the production process.</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field or equivalent years of experience</li>
<li>2&ndash;5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment with preferable experience in the food industry</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
<ul>
<li>Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including loud noises, equipment operation, and changing temperatures.</li>
<li>Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.</li>
<li>Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.</li>
<li>Shift flexibility may be required, including extra time and weekends based on business needs.</li>
</ul>

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range: $50,000&ndash;$80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
