Legal Assistant/Paralegal wanted with knowledge and experience in civil litigation matters. Growth opportunity . Ongoing training and mentoring. Our Law Firm is a boutique Civil Litigation law firm with attorneys that practice in multiple practice areas related to civil cases that provides professional diligent legal services to clients that include businesses and individuals. Starting salary depending on qualifications is $54,000 to $68,000 per year plus Benefits, PTO and opportunity to continue enhancing knowledge and skills.Work closely with the attorneys to help progress cases. We have a team environment where the paralegals and legal assistants work closely with the attorneys to help provide the best legal representation we can.Candidate should possess characteristics consisting of:<ul><li>A focus on results and concluding tasks</li><li>A desire to impact our clients' issues in a positive way</li><li>Integrity and accountability to the office and clients</li><li>Creative and critical thinking skills</li><li>Gratefulness to have a good family-oriented office environment</li></ul>The Position's Duties and Responsibilities May Include:<ul><li>Daily interaction with clients, opposing counsel and the court staff</li><li>Preparing court orders and non-complex motions</li><li>Managing clients and their cases under attorney direction</li><li>Deposition scheduling and preparation to assist the attorneys</li><li>Mediation scheduling and preparation</li><li>Coordinating and scheduling hearings and preparation of the files for court</li><li>Maintaining litigation filings, notices, pleadings, etc.</li><li>Coordinating and maintaining a calendar for the attorneys</li><li>Filing and uploading documents for the Court and clerk through the portals</li></ul>Candidate Qualifications Include:<ul><li>Litigation experience with the required position duties</li><li>Strong ability to multitask in a busy environment</li><li>Excellent organization skills</li></ul>Job Benefits Include:<ul><li>Great salary commensurate with salary between $54,000 and $68,000</li><li>401k retirement plan w/ employer matching</li><li>Group health insurance with option to add dental and vision</li><li>Additional training and mentoring to improve knowledge and skills</li></ul>This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth within the legal field while contributing to meaningful work that impacts clients' lives.
