This internship will provide hands-on experience in employee engagement and staffing by assisting with the administrative operational duties related to the Attractions, Food &amp; Beverage, Games, Guest Experience, Retail, Wardrobe, Park Services, and Safety &amp; Security teams of Hersheypark and Hersheypark Entertainment Complex. Employee Support Interns are engaged in providing Hersheypark Entertainment Complex team members with an exceptional level of guest service while successfully handling written or verbal inquiries, attendance records, and more.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

<li>Provide positive leadership, motivation, training, supervision, and regular follow up with our team members*
</li>
<li>Handle a high volume of in-coming and out-going phone calls*
</li>
<li>Respond to written and verbal inquiries relating to events, schedules, policies, and procedures*
</li>
<li>Assist with the scheduling process which includes team members requests, schedule creation, and schedule modifications for over 3500 seasonal team members*
</li>
<li>Counsel team members on their attendance records and apply progressive disciplinary procedures*
</li>
<li>Assist with the coordination of supplemental staffing programs such as the volunteer program*
</li>
<li>Update timekeeping records for part time team members*
</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned
</li>
</ul>Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying
</li>
<li>Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in undergraduate education majoring in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or another related major
</li>
</ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word
</li>
<li>Must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
</li>
<li>Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times
</li>
<li>Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with guests
</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented with proven organizational skills
</li>
<li>Must be comfortable speaking to large groups
</li>
<li>Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information and work without a conflict of interest
</li>
<li>Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment &amp; Resorts guidelines
</li>
</ul>Job Demands:
<ul>
<li>This internship is available for April/May 2026 - August 2026.</li>
<li>Company coordinated housing is available for this opportunity. If utilized, a weekly housing fee of $160 per week, inclusive of utilities and limited transportation, will be automatically deducted from students&rsquo; biweekly paychecks. Upon commitment to employee housing, HE&amp;R will charge a $180 housing fee, inclusive of a refundable $160 housing deposit and a nonrefundable $20 insurance waiver fee. 
Interns taking advantage of our company coordinated housing will be expected to move in and begin their internship on May 16, as well as be available to work through August 8. Interns who will not rely on company coordinated housing are encouraged to start working as early as the beginning of May and continue working until Labor Day weekend.</li>
<li>
Students must have open availability for shift times with start times as early as 5:00AM and as late as 1:00AM.
</li>
<li>Must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week
</li>
<li>Physical requirements include standing for periods up to five (5) hours at a time, walking, bending, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
</li>
<li>Regular inside work is required, but also includes outside work in various weather conditions including exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, and other inclement weather
</li>
