<div>Description: 
The Product Specialist I &ndash; Smart Components is responsible for increasing sales and market share for Allen-Bradley Industrial Controls (Push-Buttons/Contactors/Relays/Signaling Devices etc.), Sensors, and Safety product lines. This hybrid role blends technical expertise, product planning, and sales support, serving as a critical link between customers, the sales team, and our strategic partner, Rockwell Automation.
This is an entry-level product specialist role designed for individuals with a strong technical foundation and the ambition to advance into a senior Automation specialist position. After training, the Product Specialist will be have the following skills:
Technical Skills:<ul><li>
Identify and cross existing Industrial Components, including:
<ul><li>Pushbuttons, Selector switches,</li>
<li>Circuit protection (breakers, fuses, disconnects)</li>
<li>Contactors and Starters (IEC and NEMA)</li>
<li>Relays and Terminal Blocks</li>
<li>Sensors and Safety products</li>
</ul></li><li>Evaluate customer requirements and recommend technically correct, application-appropriate solutions</li><li>
Read, interpret, and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and panel layouts</li></ul>
Sales Skills:<ul><li>
Manage sales strategy of the Industrial Component Product lines</li><li>
Create sales initiatives to stimulate sales growth</li><li>
Provide technical support to the sales team, including:
<ul><li>Pre-sales technical consultations</li>
<li>Solution validation</li>
<li>Bill of material (BOM) development</li>
</ul></li><li>Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training to customers and internal teams</li><li>
Assist in preparing and presenting technical proposals to customers, including solution descriptions and justifications</li><li>
Support customer meetings, site visits, and application reviews as needed</li><li>
Act as a trusted technical resource for Industrial Component-related questions and troubleshooting guidance</li></ul>
Collaborate with Rockwell Automation and internal engineering resources when required
Requirements:<ul><li> 
Technical Expertise &ndash; Ability to grasp complex control and safety concepts and convey them to technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>

Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Education: Associate&rsquo;s degree in Industrial/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (required).</li><li>
Experience: 1+ years in a technical sales support role preferred; internships or co-op experience in industrial automation encouraged.</li><li>
Technical Skills: Understand basic electrical principles</li><li>
Licenses: Valid driver&rsquo;s license with acceptable driving record.</li><li>
Other: Desire and ability to grow into an advanced product specialist role.</li></ul>
