 The Linguist &ndash; Data Specialist is an early-career linguist focused on data-driven tasks such as data collection, annotation, and analysis. This role supports the development and evaluation of language technologies by providing high-quality linguistic data.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 &bull; Data Collection &amp; Annotation: Gathers and annotates linguistic data for use in training and evaluating language models and other i18n tools.
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Quality Control: Reviews and validates annotated data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Documentation: Maintains clear records of data sources, annotation guidelines, and project progress.
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Continuous Learning: Develops expertise in new annotation tools, linguistic concepts, and data management practices.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 
 &bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in linguistics, language studies, or a related field, plus 1&ndash;2 years of industry experience; OR a master&rsquo;s degree with relevant experience (internship, thesis project, etc.).
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Experience with data annotation, linguistic analysis, or corpus management.
 
 
 
 
 
 &bull; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. &bull; Familiarity with at least one annotation tool or platform.

Linguist Data Specialist

Role Big Data Engineer Responsibilities Implement Data integration and Data Warehouse based solutions using Big Data Technologies. Should be highly proficient in the use of Big Data / Open Source Technologies and standard techniques of Data Integration; Data Manipulation with hands-on contribution. Should be able to develop cost efficient and performant data pipelines in the cloud platform In-depth understanding of modern big data technology; including Data modeling and machine learning skills Knowledge of real time data streaming and aggregation architectural patterns and practice Essential Skills: 3+ Years hands on knowledge on SQL as well as SQL/NoSQL databases Proficient in programming languages such as Python and PySpark/Scala/Java Experience with Apache Spark in On-prem / Cloud (Databricks / EMR / DataProc HDInsight) Working knowledge of API development Experience in building data pipelines in ETL/ELT methods Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources Experience in one of the NoSQL databases; such as HBase; Cassandra; MongoDB
