 Position Overview
 
 
 
 The Shift Engineer will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations at the Optical Fibre Draw Tower, ensuring efficient production, quality output, and adherence to safety and operational standards. The role requires hands-on experience in fibre drawing sub-processes such as furnace, die floor, and centralized coating systems, preferably with exposure to Draw Tower technologies from
 
 Nextrom, S.G. Controls, Conductix Delachaux, or ZTT
 
 .
 
 
 
 Primary Responsibilities
 
 
 <ol>
 <li>
 Operate and monitor all die floor activities across three shifts as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure achievement of shift production targets, maintaining required yield and product quality.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain all equipment in optimal working condition and ensure minimal downtime.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular inspections and submit shift performance and progress reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend corrective or improvement measures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure accurate and timely production data entries in ERP systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot process and operational issues during the shift.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate and manage centralized coating systems, including changeovers and maintenance coordination.
 </li>
 </ol>
 
 
 Additional Responsibilities

 Adhere to all Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment, Occupational Health &amp; Safety (EOHS) standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace, minimizing risks of slips, trips, and physical injuries.
 </li>

 Promptly report near-miss incidents or safety-related concerns.
 </li>
 </ol>
 
 
 Educational Qualifications

 Degree:
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Diploma
 </li>

 Specialization:
 
 Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
 </li>

 Work Experience

 Optical Fibre Manufacturing

 Experience:
 
 Relevant experience in draw tower operations and fibre drawing processes preferred
 </li>
