Role Overview:The Head of Compliance at Joud LLC is responsible for developing, implementing, andoverseeing the company's compliance framework to ensure full alignment with QatarCentral Bank (QCB) regulations, including AML/CFT obligations, and data protection laws.This leadership role involves establishing internal policies, conducting compliance riskassessments, training staff, and maintaining a strong culture of regulatory adherence asJoud scales its BNPL services across Qatar and the MENA region.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QCB regulatory frameworks, fintechcompliance standards, and experience working in a regulated financial services or paymentenvironment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain a robust compliance management system tailored</li></ul>to BNPL operations and fintech risks.<ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and other regulatory</li></ul>bodies, managing correspondence, filings, sandbox testing protocols, and licensingobligations.<ul><li>Develop and regularly update internal compliance policies, manuals, and</li></ul>procedures in accordance with local laws, QCB guidelines, and Islamic financeprinciples.<ul><li>Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments across departments and business</li></ul>processes to proactively identify and mitigate regulatory risks.<ul><li>Collaborate with the CEO, MLRO, and legal advisors to ensure QCB milestones,</li></ul>regulatory testing, and reporting obligations are met.<ul><li>Oversee product and marketing compliance reviews to ensure transparency,</li></ul>fairness, and customer protection.<ul><li>Ensure the company's digital systems and third-party integrations (e.g., payment</li></ul>gateways, KYC/AML vendors) meet regulatory standards for data security,transaction monitoring, and consumer disclosures.<ul><li>Lead and deliver compliance training programs for staff across all levels, fostering a</li></ul>culture of awareness and ethical responsibility.<ul><li>Monitor regulatory changes in Qatar and across the MENA region and assess their</li></ul>implications on business operations.<ul><li>Prepare and submit regulatory reports, audit responses, and compliance</li></ul>documentation to internal and external stakeholders.<ul><li>Collaborate closely with the MLRO on AML/CFT issues and ensure integration of</li></ul>financial crime prevention controls within the compliance program.<ul><li>Support due diligence processes for vendors, merchants, and partners to mitigate</li></ul>third-party compliance risks.Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.</li></ul><ul><li>Certified Compliance Professional (e.g., CAMS, CRCMP, ICA, or equivalent) strongly</li></ul>preferred.<ul><li>Minimum 7&ndash;10 years of experience in a compliance leadership role within financial</li></ul>services, banking, or fintech.<ul><li>In-depth knowledge of QCB regulatory frameworks, including AML/CFT obligations,</li></ul>and consumer protection laws.Key Competencies &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management (QCB-specific)</li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical and investigative skills</li></ul><ul><li>High attention to detail and documentation accuracy</li></ul><ul><li>Clear and confident communication with regulatory bodies and internal</li></ul>stakeholders<ul><li>Leadership and training ability to foster a compliance-first culture</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to interpret legal and regulatory language into actionable business guidance</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborative, ethical, and solutions-driven approach</li></ul><ul><li>Experience establishing and scaling compliance programs in fast-paced, digital-first</li></ul>environments.<ul><li>Familiarity with Islamic finance structures and principles is an advantage.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
