HIA Health is seeking a physician to join our medical team to support both Hospice patients and our primary and palliative home-based care patients. This position will collaborate with the Medical Director, physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and the inter-disciplinary team in providing world-class hospice, palliative, and home-based primary medical care to patients in accordance with federal regulations and the strategic direction set by the board of directors. Some travel required within service area.
This position will be located in Fargo, ND and will provide support to both our home-based hospice services as well as rotational support in our brand-new state-of-the-art and first ever in North Dakota, Hospice Inpatient Unit - Heather's House.
Essential Functions
Partners with the medical director in providing medical expertise for:<ul><li>
Standards of medical care for hospice patients</li><li>
Eligibility and ineligibility of referred patients</li><li>
Disease management and pain and symptom management of hospice patients</li><li>
Direct medical care to hospice patients</li><li>
Physician-to-physician relationships and leadership</li><li>
Clinical and public education regarding hospice care</li><li>
Guidance to hospice NP or nurse as they provide direct patient care</li></ul>

Compensation:
Starting at $250K+ annual salary (depending on experience)

Licenses, Registrations Required<ul><li>
MD or D.O. licensure in Minnesota and North Dakota (or willing to obtain dual licensure upon employment offer)</li><li>
DEA Licensure in MN and ND</li><li>
Current state driver&rsquo;s license and active auto insurance</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Hospice and Palliative Care Certification or Fellowship, highly preferred</li><li>
Experience in care of terminally ill patients</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and collaboration</li><li>
Administrative health care experience desirable</li><li>
Board certified FP or IM desirable</li></ul></div>

PHYSICIAN (MD or DO)

<div>Position Summary
Responsible for the care of hospice patients during non-business hours including, but not limited to: triaging patient phone calls, providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in the patient&rsquo;s place of residents for evening and night after hours duty in accordance with the patient&rsquo;s respective plan of care and based on need. Provide support and follow-through to the patient&rsquo;s family during any actively dying and/or death visit for the hospice team.
This position works every Friday, Saturday, Sunday with applicable shift differentials. This position will be located in the Fargo area.
Pay Range: Starting at $34.67/hour (based on experience) with additional shift differential.

Qualifications<ul><li>
Minimum of RN degree, BSN preferred</li><li>
Preferred nursing experience, with at least one-year recent hospital, nursing home or homecare/hospice experience</li><li>
Strong clinical skills</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem-solve independently</li></ul>
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required<ul><li>
Current RN Licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or willing to obtain dual licensure).</li><li>
