<div>Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for using appropriate tools to sand furniture. Need experienced hand sanders.
Essential Duties<ul><li>
Will be required to read production tickets on the pieces of furniture being sanded</li><li>
Manually sands wood furniture and frames using various jigs and tools developed for sanding</li><li>
Repairs minor defects in the wood using appropriate tools and materials</li><li>
Must follow all safety policies and procedures</li><li>
Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals</li></ul>
Position Requirements<ul><li>
High school diploma or GED preferred</li><li>
Previous sanding experience a plus, especially with Side Stroke and Pump Sanding
</li></ul>Physical Requirements

<ul><li>Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks</li><li>
While standing, position will require bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting</li><li>
Must be able to work in noisy environments</li><li>
Must be able to work in dusty environments</li><li>
Must have manual dexterity in order to operate tools as directed</li><li>
Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.</li></ul></div>
