Essential duties and responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Manage ongoing Benefits Administration for assigned clients, overseeing tasks such as New Hire and Open Enrollments, Medical Support Orders, processing benefit changes at the carrier level, invoice audit and reconciliations, payroll audit and verification, and managing COBRA processes &amp; vendor interfacing.</li>
<li>Administer day-to-day support for employee benefit plans, covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, employee/dependent eligibility, and long-term disability.</li>
<li>Analyze and address client employee inquiries about benefits, emphasizing both timeliness and quality in responses.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations by securing and maintaining benefit documentation.</li>
<li>Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations, compliance requirements, and filing procedures impacting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, etc.</li>
<li>Input and maintain precise employee enrollment information in benefits-related technology, such as online carrier portals and enrollment modules.</li>
<li>Conduct employee orientations to acquaint them with company benefits.</li>
<li>Research and formulate responses to complex benefit issues impacting client relationships. Client Satisfaction</li>
<li>Conduct conference calls and meetings with clients to discuss benefit plan administration.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain employee communication, contributing to policy development.</li>
<li>Provide ongoing consultation by addressing administration questions, discussing regulatory updates, resolving claim issues, and managing customer service problems with carriers.</li>
<li>Assist in vendor management activities to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and resolution of employee questions.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison with Broker-of-Record or Higginbotham Producer/Account Manager.</li>
<li>Collaborate, communicate, and address inquiries related to benefits for internal stakeholders, including HR Services team members, HIG brokers, and account managers.</li>
<li>Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Higginbotham team members seeking guidance on benefits administration.</li>
<li>Assist with implementations and internal and external vendor or system changes. Ad-Hoc or Miscellaneous Duties</li>
<li>Support various tasks and special projects as required.</li>
<li>Fulfill additional responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor or management. Seeking a candidate with UKG Pro experience, ideally someone who has supported multiple clients/ HR Services ideal.</li>

Qualifications and Skills Required:

</ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">Preferred Education/Training/Experience:</h5>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred</li>
<li>CEBS certification preferred</li>
<li>3-5 years benefits administration experience</li>
<li>UKG and Benefits Module experience is preferred</li>
<li>1+ years of experience in HR Services and/or managing multiple clients is preferred</li>

HR Services- Benefits Specialist

The essential duties and responsibilities include:
<ul>
<li>Human Resources:
<ul><li>Consult directly with clients, increase performance and limit liability</li>
<li>Coach clients on compliance and HR best practices</li>
<li>Handle labor relations and coordinate with attorney on labor/ union issues</li>
<li>Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law changes and updates in applicable states</li>
<li>Exercise continuous communication with the client to ensure they are always informed regarding outstanding issues, changes, claims, etc.</li>
<li>Evaluate forms, policies, and processes for compliance and improvement</li>
<li>Complete revisions of forms and policies to fit client culture</li>
<li>Act as back up for pre-employment process, screening, new-hire process and employment files for clients</li>
<li>Facilitate performance management and coach supervisors on the termination process</li>
<li>Respond to verification of employment inquiries and unemployment claims/hearings/appeals</li>
<li>Respond to employee questions and complaints concerning HR related matters</li>
<li>Investigate, document and manage employee claims</li>
<li>Know when to escalate HR issues to the Director or CHRO</li>
<li>Monitor 401(k) process including year end testing and audit as applicable</li>
<li>Manage the Leave of Absence process</li>
<li>Partners with clients on acquisition processes</li>
<li>Create and deliver training for clients to increase performance and limit liability</li>
<li>Travel as needed (usually less than 25%)</li>
<li>Assist with Workers&rsquo; Compensation program, claims management and claims reviews</li>
</ul></li><li>Payroll:
<ul> <li>Partner with Payroll Manager as necessary</li>
<li>Provide payroll reports to client as requested</li>
<li>Work with Payroll Specialist to train managers to administer Payroll Action Notices properly</li>
<li>Coordinate with Payroll Manager</li>
</ul></li><li>Employee Benefits:
<ul><li>Assist with benefits services such as open enrollment meetings and basic employee questions about health insurance</li>
<li>Partner with Benefits Specialist on any items that may need to be handled with employee benefits</li>
<li>Administer and track FMLA, personal leaves, short term disability, and long term disability</li>
<li>Assist with 401(k) questions</li>
</ul></li><li>Administration:
<ul><li>Document client processes, timelines, contacts, organizational charts, monthly tracking, and more as needed</li>
<li>Document HR issues and claims</li>
<li>Complete and assist with audits as needed</li>
<li>Maintain all employee files including I-9 compliance
<ul><li>Ensure all I-9&rsquo;s are completed correctly and timely</li>
<li>Ensure E-verify is completed for each I-9</li>
<li>Ensure I-9&rsquo;s are stored correctly, active and terminations</li>
</ul>
</li></ul></li></ul>Experience and Education:
<ul>
<li>Must be bilingual</li>
<li>3-5 years of HR generalist experience</li>
<li>HR Certification preferred</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree</li>
</ul>
Licenses:
<ul>
<li>Valid Driver's License Required</li>
</ul>
Systems:
<ul>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
