Job Title: Preschool TeacherLocation: Dickinson, TexasShift: Must be available between 6am and 6 PM Monday-Friday.Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired educational preschool. We are located at 351 FM 646 RD N, Dickinson, TX.Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive preschool teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of children ages 3-5 years old. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching young children, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide attentive and high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.</li><li>Create daily lesson plans to meet learning objectives</li><li>Follow daily schedules and routines.</li><li>Engage in hands on learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.</li><li>Assist with toilet training when appropriate.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.</li><li>Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.</li><li>Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>MUST be at least 18 years old</li><li>MUST pass a background check</li><li>MUST have high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire</li><li>Proven experience working with children in a daycare, church, after school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is preferred</li><li>Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.</li><li>CDA is preferred but not required</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Starting Salary $11-14/hour</li><li>Health/Dental/Vision Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Paid Holidays</li><li>Professional development opportunities.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Dickinson, TX 77539 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Dickinson, TX 77539: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
