<br>
Essential Job Duties include:<br>
1. Transport patients via wheelchairs, stretcher or as an escort in cases where the patient is ambulatory, to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed by the PTR, appropriately closing tasks and while observing all safety regulations.<br>
<br>
2. Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcher.<br>
<br>
3. Pick up specimens, cultures, orders and requisitions and deliver items to appropriate destination.<br>
<br>
4. Maintain accurate log of all transports.<br>
<br>
<b>Salary Range:</b><br>
$18.41 - $23.31 an hour<br>

Provides direct patient care to patients from neonate through geriatrics according to community standards for clinical practice, Family Medicine protocols, procedures and guidelines, and professional Nurse Practitioner standards for advanced clinical practice.<br>

Practices within the scope of New York State Nurse Practitioner regulations as per the New York State Nurse Practitioner Act as well as the Federal DEA prescriptive regulations if DEA registered.<br>

Examines patients and prescribes treatment when indicated for individuals and families requiring acute and chronic health care, preventive and restorative care, and evaluation and care of physical, mental, and developmental function and capabilities.<br>
<br>
Recommends patients for additional treatment or evaluation as necessary.<br>
<br>
Counsels and educates patients, their families, and their care givers on either self or directed care intended to maintain or restore physical or emotional health or function.<br>
<br>
Counsels and educates parents and other direct care providers of minor children and adults, including the elderly, regarding special care needs, emphasizing normal growth and development, positive parenting, maintenance of independence, safety, appropriate use of medications and support services, nutrition, restoration of health and function, and illness and disability prevention. May be the continuing care provider for their own patient panel as part of the Pt Centered Medical Home.<br>

Provides phone care to patients and serves as a resource person to the team nurse regarding phone care, triage evaluations for acute care, and patient management when clinical decisions are required.<br>
<br>
Assists with the completion of paperwork required for patient care or outside agency evaluation in the absence of the primary physician and during the three-month transition when the third year residents graduate.<br>

4). Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient, efficient, and safe independent clinical practice capability. The Nurse Practitioner working primarily at Highland Family Planning must demonstrate competence with gynecological procedures including IUD insertions, inserting implantable contraceptive devices, administering injection contraceptives and immunizations as well as other skills necessary for the position within 1 month of hire.</div></div></div></div><div></div>

 Highland Hospital a 261 bed community teaching hospital and affiliate of the University Of Rochester Medical Center is recruiting for Patient Care Techs to work full time, rotating day/eve/night shifts. Qualified candidates must be available full time 36-40 hours per week to rotate during all shifts, Monday-Friday plus every other weekend and 50% of the holidays. No experience needed and you receive paid training! Must be able to commit to 5 weeks of orientation and able to work any shift and any day.
