How you&rsquo;ll contribute The 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit specializes in caring for patients aged 55 and older with various neurological and behavioral conditions, including dementia, acute mental status changes, and Parkinson's disease. The unit provides medication management and support for situational depression and ideation, while focusing on maintaining the independence of most patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, the dedicated team comprises RNs, techs, sitters, a social worker, an intake clinician, and a recreational assistant, ensuring personalized care without accepting medically unstable patients. Telehealth psychiatric services are also available to enhance patient support. Essential Functions Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing. Additional requirements include: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire Handle with Care preferred. 1-year experience in Geriatric Nursing, preferably in Behavioral Health is preferred. <div><div>Patient Care Technician Position Summary
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs basic patient care activities and unit support tasks to promote safe, efficient care and patient throughput. Provides assistance with activities of daily living and routine monitoring, maintains a clean and stocked environment, and supports nursing/physician staff. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. FLSA: Non-Exempt.
Essential Functions
<ul><li>Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.</li>
<li>Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).</li>
<li>Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.</li>
<li>Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.</li>
<li>Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.</li>
<li>Documents care and activities per unit standards.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education.</li>

Physical Requirements (typical): Frequent standing, walking, reaching, keyboard entry, repetitive movements, kneeling, lifting/moving patients; occasional sitting and squatting; rare running or climbing. Vision near/far and depth perception frequent/constant; color distinction frequent. Occasional exposure to biohazardous waste, chemicals, gases/vapors/fumes; latex exposure frequent.
Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities
Education: High School diploma preferred.
License: SRNA or EMT preferred.
Certifications: BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary:
Transporter 
Transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility
Essential Functions:
Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment. 
Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers. 
Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department. Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue. 
Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
