</i></b></p><p>Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform one or more of the activities described below.
</p><ul><li>Repairs and adjusts plumbing, water lines, electrical wiring and equipment, plastering, furniture, shelves, doors, windows, and machines of various kinds.
</li><li>Participates in the erection of small structures and the more complex alteration, repair and maintenance of plumbing, electric, and water systems and/or fixtures, brick, cement, HVAC, and carpentry work.
</li><li>Paints interiors and exteriors of buildings.
</li><li>Performs electric and acetylene welding, brazing, and fabrication.
</li><li>Operates power equipment to include lathes, drill presses, threading machines, air compressors and gas operated saws.
</li><li>Maintains and tracks inventory valued up to $10,000.
</li><li>Uses Computerized Maintenance Management System to keep daily records and logs on operating conditions and mechanical equipment repairs.
</li><li>Troubleshoots building system related issues using volt/ohm meter, infrared camera, and other related equipment.
</li><li>May supervise assigned laborers and trades helpers in maintenance work.
</li><li>May operate medium to heavy motorized equipment.
</li><li>Drives a vehicle to and from work sites.
</li><li>Cleans work site upon work completion.
</li>Performs other related duties as required.<br>

</li><li>Skill in the use of hand and electrical/gas operated tools and equipment used in building and construction.

</li><li>Required to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb up to 35 Feet.

<div><div><p><b><i>Minimum Qualifications Required
</i></b></p><ul><li>Completion of the tenth grade; AND
</li><li>Three years of experience as a skilled trades worker in two or more of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting, or other skilled trades;
 </li></ul><p>OR
</p><ul><li>Completion of the tenth grade; and
<br>
two years of experience as a Multi-Trades Worker I with Hillsborough County; AND
</li><li>Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.

</div></div><p><b><i>Emergency Management Responsibilities
</i></b></p><p>In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee&rsquo;s department, the County&rsquo;s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.

</li><li>Sex Offender and Sexual Predator record check using the list maintained by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
</li></ul><div><ul><li>Possess the necessary job related license(s) or certification(s) that may include possession of a Florida Driver License (Class E) or an applicable Commercial Driver License (CDL).
