Job description 
As our Senior Java Developer you are responsible for maintaining, managing and developing our fintech platform. Your main focus will be the backend system, which is a cloud-based (AWS) application running on Java. This will include: 
<ul><li>
Working on automating the loan assessment process, assuring that customers are able to have a complete digital experience and fast feedback</li><li>
Integrating third party services for assessment checks</li><li>
Implementing logic to approve/deny applications based on our credit policy</li><li>
Work in compliance with the Autoriteit Financi&euml;le Markten (AFM) , De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and European privacy regulation (GPDR)</li></ul>

Job Requirements
As Senior Java Developer you excel in teamwork, take initiative, and proactively seek solutions to technical challenges. You have a strong drive to learn and grow, always looking for ways to improve. Your customer-focused mindset helps you translate needs into effective technical solutions. You also need: 
<ul><li>
Completed higher education (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, ICT, Software Engineering, or a similar field</li><li>
7+ years of Java development experience (Java 11 or 17 preferred); OCP certification is a plus</li><li>
Experience with NodeJS/TypeScript</li><li>
Familiar with Agile/Scrum, Design Patterns, and enterprise Java frameworks, such as Spring Boot or Jakarta EE</li><li>
Knowledge of SOA and service integration (message brokers, REST APIs)</li><li>
Familiar with DevOps tools (Docker/Kubernetes) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)</li><li>
WFT Consumer Credit certification or willingness to obtain it</li></ul>
