Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Line Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating equipment at the paint line and related equipment to ensure high-quality finishing of products.Duties<ul><li>Safely and consistently operate Nordson powder coating equipment and machines.</li><li>Apply powder paint to specified products to meet quality standards and customer needs.</li><li>Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks specified by the Paint Line Lead.</li><li>Unload/load 50 lbs. boxes of powder paint into topcoat/primer coat booths.</li><li>Keep a clean work area. Primer paint booth/topcoat paint booth are to be cleaned daily.</li><li>On occasion paint line operator will help paint line loaders with part loading/unloading tasks.</li><li>Contribute to the maintenance of the Quality Management System through the correct execution of its functions and/or activities.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.</li><li>Other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, required</li><li>1 year or more of demonstrated experience.</li><li>Must have a professional attitude, work well with others, and work independently.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.</li><li>Must be able to follow verbal and written work instructions/procedures.</li><li>Ability to verbally communicate problems to management.</li><li>Ability to write and record data as required by procedures.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.</li><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.</li></ul>Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; frequently move around the workstation/area and production floor, using PPE all the time; position themselves to access different areas and angles of the product being assembled, including stooping, bending, and crouching.</li><li>Required use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)</li><li>Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms to operate equipment and install components, or move parts/equipment.</li><li>Lifts, pushes/pulls, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly. May have to move an object from one location to another.</li><li>Visual acuity is necessary to do the job safely and effectively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision work to perform inspections and in reading schematics, peripheral, profundity, blueprints, and instructions.</li></ul>Work Environment:This position works in a non-air-conditioned warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
