TRAVEL: Up to 30% (domestically and internationally)
REMOTE WORK: Hybrid (+50% Onsite) &ndash; Onsite 90% / Remote 10%
EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $106,883 - $146,964 annually 
 
This pay range is for the position&rsquo;s base pay only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Applications Engineer II (AE) is responsible for technical product support with a focus on failure analysis (FA) of semiconductor technologies using TEM (primary) and FIB-SEM (secondary). The AE will conduct demonstrations, develop applications/workflows, and provide training to customers. AE&rsquo;s will provide customer support to complete tool installation and acceptance tests. This position will require considerable judgment and initiative to be self-proficient in addition to participating in team-oriented projects. AE&rsquo;s are expected to work on special projects to improve overall department efficiency. AE&rsquo;s will provide applications support through classroom training, phone support, and through direct work performed physically onsite at customer facilities. Generally, the AE requires minimal supervision and have a working knowledge across multiple product lines related to failure analysis, with a heavy emphasis of transmission electron microscopy, high electron energy principles, image processing, and related analytical data analysis methodologies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Technical product support for TEM (primary) and FIB-SEM (secondary)</li><li>
Provide applications support for customers through recipe automation audits</li><li>
Deliver compelling product presentations</li><li>
Provide sample-run activities and product demonstrations to customers</li><li>
Conduct technical product training on instruments and applications for customers and internal staff</li><li>
Understand and provide technical solutions to customer&rsquo;s technical requirements through applications support</li><li>
Analyze customer samples for sales opportunities and technical support</li><li>
Assist internal staff and customers with technical support and application issues</li><li>
Review customer application needs with sales and technical staff</li><li>
Serve in a technical support role during sales calls</li><li>
Resolve technical product line issues and problems</li><li>
Key account technical management</li><li>
Provide technical requirements to the factory for continued and next generation product development</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
EDUCATION, LICENSES, and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
BS degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>
MS degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field is a plus</li><li>
Driver&rsquo;s license with acceptable driving record with the ability to be covered under the company&rsquo;s insurance</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE and TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Two (2) years&rsquo; relevant work experience</li><li>
Five (5) years&rsquo; experience in related materials science applications or semiconductor FA applications</li><li>
Five (5) years&rsquo; experience working with TEM instrumentation with some FIB-SEM experience</li><li>
Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) experience is strongly preferred</li><li>
Programming experience in scripting languages, Python, C, and C++, MATLab is a plus</li><li>
Project management experience is a plus</li><li>
Experience developing new products, technical functions, or applications through customer collaboration is a plus</li><li>
Domestic and international travel up to 30%</li></ul>

Leading the successful execution of High Voltage Orders booked in Qatar.</li><li>
Monitor and achieve importance KPIs including Revenue, Cash Flow, Inventory, On-time Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, etc.</li><li>
Ensure that all order execution related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality</li><li>

To ensure that the portfolio of projects follows good methodology and</li><li>

Lead the coordination of any customer request whether they are related to execution or additional requests to projects which lead for additional sales.</li><li>
Lead the Digital and Service Interface in Qatar with the newly formed BU of Service.</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.</li><li>

Your Background
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or master&rsquo;s degree in engineering, or equivalent with strong technical background &middot;</li><li>
Minimum of 10 to 15 Years of Experience.</li><li>
Experience in High Voltage Industry with exposure to Project Management.</li><li>
Possess strong leadership skills and ability to lead the team and convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost, and quality.</li><li>
Experience of SAP or another ERP platform knowledge is an advantage.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in project deliverables.</li><li>
Capability to develop work practices and to take lessons learned and implement them into the processes.</li><li>
 Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and excellent collaboration and work with cross functional and cross-cultural team.</li><li>
Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and challenges.</li><li>
