<div>Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Triage Nurse provides professional telephone triage nursing services to Hoag Clinic patients. This role performs detailed evaluation of patient symptoms and determines urgency of patient condition, facilitates next steps in patient care, makes recommendations for escalation of care, and provides appropriate medical advice on treating symptoms. Provides patient education and incorporates available education material. Communicates changes in patient condition to health care provider. Responses to emergency situations. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure quality patient care and confer when facing ethical and legal issues. Documents all nursing services provided in the patient record. Utilizes the nursing process based on research and evidence-based outcomes to meet patient care needs. Facilitates appropriate utilization of healthcare resources. Enhances the patient experience. Provides services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and professional standards, including the California Nurse Practice Act. Performs other duties as assigned.
The Triage Nurse II also educates and guides other staff to solve complex patient care problems. Conducts and/or coordinates department orientation and training of new employees. Develops policies, procedures, standardized procedures, and protocols. Leads and coordinates innovate changes and improvements.</div>

 <div>Education and Experience Required:
<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
</li><li>Seven (7) years clinical nursing experience
</li><li>Basic keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
</li><li>Strong clinical documentation knowledge and skills
</li></ul>Preferred:
<ul><li>Two (2) years experience in an ambulatory care setting and/or in telephone triage
</li><li>Knowledge of electronic medical record systems

Triage Nurse II (RN) - Clinic : OCW Administration - Full Time - 08HR - RWCA

<div>Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse I &ndash; Acute Rehab Nursing role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients on Medical/Surgical units. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care. This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed, and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.</div>

Clinical Nurse I&rsquo;s at Magnet designated facilities only require a BSN or that a BSN program is started within one year of hire date and BSN degree is attained within two years of the starting the BSN program.

</li><li>Neuro: Successful completion of a basic Critical Care Course or equivalency required prior to clinical rotation. Successful completion of ECG test required. Fulfills mandatory stroke education requirements per certifcation. Clinical Nurse I : CCU

<div>Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Clinical Lab Scientist II (CLS II) performs a range of standard and technically demanding procedures and analysis on patient specimens in one or more clinical laboratory disciplines. This role recognizes critical and significant findings, reports test results, and maintains records of patient tests. Also, recognizes technical, instrumental, or physiological problems that could adversely affect tests or results, resolves, and documents. Performs calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments. Adheres to quality control protocols to ensure accuracy of results. Monitors the accuracy and precision of all laboratory tests personally performed. Actively participates in continuing education programs. Communicates technical and general information to manager and medical staff.
In addition to the above, the CLSII analyzes data for trends, ensures, departmental standard operating procedures and competency documents reflecting current practice, and documents nonconforming events. May act as lead on weekends or other periods of reduced staffing.
Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct. Supports the laboratory mission. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation, quality control requirements, and preventative maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.</div>

<ul><li>Baccalaureate Degree in medical technology or related science required.
</li><li>Two to three years relevant clinical laboratory experience as an CLS required.

Clinical Lab Scientist II : Orange Coast Women's

<div>Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Charge Nurse is responsible for clinical supervision of patient care for all patients in the department and job performance supervision of all employees on an assigned shift in a Medical and/or Surgical department. Plans, coordinates and provides for optimum patient care on the unit. This includes managing schedules and patient assignments, delivering annual evaluations and counseling conversations, and providing direct patient care when relieving nurses. Maintains the Standards of Nursing Care and provides care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Assures utilization of the nursing process based on research and evidence based outcomes. The Charge Nurse makes recommendations on hiring, department budgets, and trainings and serves as a leader in the department.
Outpatient Treatment Centers Infusion: In addition to the above, may be responsible for contacting Providers to either enter, sign or modify orders. Enters all orders into the EMR that are received via email, fax, or verbal then routes to Providers for signature. Calls to ensure first time patients have prescriptions, started any required medications, and answers questions related to chemotherapy treatment.</div>
