Job Summary Hochstetler Metals is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this key role, you&rsquo;ll manage day-to-day financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports that support our company&rsquo;s financial health. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in financial management.Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.</li><li>Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.</li><li>Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure consistency across accounts.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.</li><li>Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.</li><li>Ensure double-entry bookkeeping accuracy through proper recording of debits and credits.</li><li>Support tax preparation and audits by keeping organized transaction records.</li><li>Analyze account discrepancies and improve bookkeeping workflows using your accounting knowledge</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.</li><li>Skilled in balance sheet and bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis.</li><li>Knowledge of financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping.</li><li>Experience managing accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes.</li><li>Familiarity with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to interpret financial reports and communicate findings clearly.</li><li>Able to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.</li><li>Proficiency in spreadsheets and office software.</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
