<div>The Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Information Systems &amp; Business Analytics with an emphasis on Cybersecurity Management, beginning Fall 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and forward-looking cybersecurity initiative with strong institutional support, interdisciplinary collaboration, and access to industry engagement in the New York metropolitan area.<br>

The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics offers BBA, MBA, and MS programs, including a MS in Cybersecurity Management focused on strategy, governance, and policy, as well as an applied undergraduate minor in Cybersecurity Operations. A Doctor of Business Administration in Cybersecurity Management program is planned for Fall 2027, reflecting the school&rsquo;s strategic investment in this area.<br>

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity management and related information systems areas, maintaining an active research agenda with publications in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to departmental, school, and university service. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in cybersecurity management (e.g., cyber risk management, cybersecurity governance, cybersecurity technologies and infrastructure, data privacy, or AI in cybersecurity) and, depending on expertise, selected information systems courses (e.g., computer networks, business programming, or systems analysis and design).<br>

Research and Institutional Support<br>
The Zarb School of Business supports faculty research through internal funding opportunities, conference support, and a collegial research environment. Faculty are encouraged to collaborate across disciplines and with industry partners, particularly through the Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center.<br>

<div><ul><li>An earned doctorate (or ABD) in MIS, CIS, IS, or closely related disciplines from an AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) institution. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered for a non-tenure track appointment. Tenure-track status requires a degree in-hand by August 2027.</li>

<div><div>Reporting to the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission, the Assistant Director of Campus Visit manages the visitor experience for Hofstra University&rsquo;s Office of Undergraduate Admission. This individual interacts with a wide variety of constituents, including faculty, administrators, alumni, current students, prospective students, and their families.<br>
</div><div>As a member of the Admissions Team, this position is expected to work some nights and weekends to assist with campus events. This is a full time role.</div><div>

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</div><ul>
<li>Manages the various campus visit programs, which includes but is not limited to the following: information session and tours, the Hofstra UpClose program, group visits, and on-campus recruitment programs.</li>
<li>Oversees the creation and implementation of new and existing programming, including first -year, transfer, and school counselor visit programs and events.</li>
<li>Directly manages a graduate assistant and approximately 70 paid student employees&mdash;providing supervision, training, mentorship, and professional development.</li>
<li>Develops relationships with various campus partners to help create memorable experiences for all visitors.</li>
<li>Serves as the primary liason for on-campus programs, including collaboration with colleges/schools, faculty and administrators.</li>
<li>Provides oversight of the Office of Undergraduate Admission&rsquo;s reception area, and will work to ensure visitors are provided with exceptional customer service.</li>
<li>Willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.</li>

<div><div><b>Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</li>
<li>One-year of higher education, admission, campus visit, and event planning experience.</li>
<li>Participation in a structured onboarding training program, including several weeks of shadowing current on-call staff to gain exposure to a range of incident response scenarios.</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and problem solve.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, oral and written communication skills.</li>
