<p><b>Job Summary</b></p>
<p>The Fleet Manager provides operational leadership and support to drivers assigned to a customer or customer&rsquo;s account. The Fleet Manager is a liaison with the customer ensuring high quality customer service and support. Ensures safe and timely deliveries. Is responsible for enhancing the overall customer service and support by managing drivers to ensure the client&rsquo;s needs and expectations are met. Diagnoses and uses independent discretion based on the circumstances to solve employee-related issues.</p>
<p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul><li>Manages drivers&rsquo; activities and ensures drivers are meeting and following Hogan expectations and policies and performing to a level that meets client expectations and needs.
</li><li>Identifies and addresses any driver performance issues through the use of coaching and discipline, including termination, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Interviews prospective drivers and make recommendations on hiring decisions.</li>
<li>Conducts driver 30- and 60-day performance review.</li>
<li>Coaches, trains, and/or reinforces drivers on customer satisfaction/service, Hogan policies and practices, and safety.</li>
<li>Coordinates services provided to customers including, but not limited to, employee and customer schedules, to maximize profits.</li>
<li>Schedules and directs drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.</li>
<li>Monitors drivers&rsquo; performance and activities.</li>
<li>Prepares and monitors daily work and run schedules.</li>
<li>Advises drivers of traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards and independently creates contingency plans and alternate routes, as appropriate based on the circumstances to ensure client expectations and needs are met.</li>
<li>Manages assigned fleet of tractors and drivers for on-time pickup and delivery performance, out of route miles, hours of service compliance, home time, special routing needs, and cost control.</li>
<li>Ensures a safe working environment and equipment for drivers, including, but not limited to, ensuring drivers are complying with applicable federal, state, and local safety laws and requirements.</li>
<li>Ensures drivers are properly trained and has an adequate understanding of customer and company expectations, policies, and practices.</li>
<li>Performs a daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.</li>
<li>Interacts with drivers on a daily basis answering any questions and ensuring drivers can safely deliver loads on time.</li>
<li>Works with drivers to reduce turnover and promote longevity of workforce.</li>
<li>Ensures driver payroll is accurate and submitted timely.

<p><b>Job Summary</b></p>
<p>Daily dispatching, load planning and monitoring, route utilization to achieve high service levels. Main customer contact. Major focus on DOT and safety compliance, monitoring preventative maintenance, KPI reporting, and payroll confirmation. Driver coaching for retention.</p>
<p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul><li>Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or equipment.
</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and respond to all incoming communication (phone, email, etc.) in a timely manner.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor personnel and driver utilization to coordinate service and schedules.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Driver coaching in the areas of employee retention, customer satisfaction and service, safety awareness and worker' compensation management.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using Qualcomm devices or telephones.
</li></ul><ul><li>Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment.
</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare daily work and run schedules.
</li></ul><ul><li>Review daily load plans put together by managers to make sure it is feasible.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards.
</li></ul><ul><li>Review invoices and turn them in on time.
</li></ul><ul><li>Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate to driver's, including but not limited to, load information, advances, maintenance coordination, performance counseling and safety procedures.
</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for assigned fleet of tractors and drivers for on-time pick up and delivery performance, out of route miles, hours of service compliance, home time, special routing needs, and cost control.
</li></ul><ul><li>Insure that each driver has an adequate understanding of customer and company expectations.
</li></ul><ul><li>Daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.
</li></ul><ul><li>Daily interactions with drivers, other operation staff and management via Qualcomm, telephone and in person.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to suggest and recommend disciplinary action, terminations, and hiring decisions.
</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee the monitoring of personnel and driver utilization to coordinate service and schedules while maintaining DOT compliance.
</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the scheduling and or dispatch of drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using Omnitrac devices, telephone, or current communication devices, maintain a high level of service, track and trace.
</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee all communication within specifically assigned customer base. Build a rapport with the local customer contact through meetings, entertainment, and personal interactions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor and ensure driver logs are completed and accurate.
</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee the scheduling of equipment maintenance.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain KPI's and present both internally to Hogan and externally to customer.
</li></ul><ul><li>Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, driver discipline, and other dispatch information.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure employee payroll is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
</li></ul><ul><li>Plan and execute backhaul plan according to account requirements.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure company policies are followed in regards to such things, but not limited to; fatigue policy, cell phone policy, accurate and timely reporting of accident and injuries.

<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree strongly preferred</li></ul>
<ul><li>10+ years in the transportation industry</li></ul>

<p>Join the Hogan team in <b>St. Louis, MO</b>! The <b>Area Sales Manager (ASM)</b> is a senior sales &amp; account management position responsible for the sales performance within an assigned sales territory for our contractual product lines &ndash; full-service truck leasing &amp; fleet contract maintenance. In addition, this position assists in the mentoring &amp; training of branch rental sales personnel. Furthermore, the <b>Area Sales Manager</b> may play an active role in managing the overall performance of assigned branches.</p>
<p>As the <b>Area Sales Manager</b>, you&rsquo;ll tenaciously pursue &amp; develop new contractual commercial clients in an assigned sales territory through effective outside sales &amp; marketing activity (including cold calling); develop an active prospect database; manage &amp; cultivate existing accounts; facilitate our teamwork approach of delivering value &amp; creative solutions to our clients; provide outstanding customer service; and execute the company&rsquo;s sales &amp; marketing strategies.</p>

<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Sales, Marketing, Accounting or equivalent working experience.</li>
<li>4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.</li>
<li>Industry or tangent industry sales experience is strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
