Located across the tennis courts at 4490 Cornishon Ave, La Ca&ntilde;ada, CA 91011About Us: At Hoggs Hollow School, we&rsquo;re passionate about early childhood education. Our warm, nurturing preschool environment is dedicated to supporting children aged 18 months to 5 years in their social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured learning and creative play.We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our toddler team as Part-Time Teachers or Assistants!Position Overview: As a Part-Time Preschool Teacher or Assistant, you'll work closely with young children, helping them explore the world through age-appropriate activities, routines, and loving support. You'll also collaborate with a team of dedicated educators and connect with families to ensure each child's unique growth is nurtured.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.</li><li>Partner with co-teachers to manage daily routines and curriculum.</li><li>Build positive, trusting relationships with children and parents.</li><li>Support children in daily routines: diapering, toileting, handwashing, snack/meal times.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.</li><li>Monitor children's development and contribute to progress documentation.</li><li>Attend weekly team meetings and occasional school events.</li></ul>Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Required:</li><li>At least 6 ECE units completed or more. Must have an infant/toddler class and curriculum course. </li><li>Must be actively working toward completing 12 units if not already done</li><li>Preferred:</li><li>AA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (in progress or completed)</li></ul>Certifications &amp; Clearances (required at time of hire):<ul><li>Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain before hire)</li><li>Fingerprint and criminal background clearance</li><li>Physician&rsquo;s health clearance and negative TB test</li><li>Mandated Reporter Certificate</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes:<ul><li>Passionate about working with toddlers</li><li>Patient, nurturing, and solution-oriented</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Reliable team player with a positive attitude</li><li>Comfortable with diapering and toileting</li><li>Professional and supportive when communicating with parents</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be active throughout the day</li><li>Comfortable bending, kneeling, and sitting at child&rsquo;s level frequently</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Schedule:<ul><li>Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience)</li><li>Schedule: 4&ndash;6 hours/day, Monday through Friday (part-time &amp; flexible hours available)</li></ul>How to Apply: Excited to make a difference in a child&rsquo;s life?
