<div>Job Summary: The Section Manager is responsible for managing various disciplines of manufacturing processes and coordinating daily production schedules and activities to create a safe and innovative environment for manufacturing operations (one to two product lines). In addition, oversees the assignment of work while verifying tooling requirements, costs, and quality standards are being met and linking communication between strategy and operations.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS) and product/service to defined quality levels</li>
<li>Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT&rsquo;s Values-Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission</li>
<li>Plans, monitors, controls, and manages personnel to established production and quality control standards for specifications and delivery dates of products/services</li>
<li>Monitors staffing needs to meet workflow and customer requirements to maintain the effective operations and cost factors</li>
<li>Initiates and conducts process improvement communication with team members and management staff; daily start-up meetings and communicates touchpoint to relay operational status, safety and quality call-outs, and/or follow-up</li>
<li>Directs, manages, and participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and policies</li>
<li>Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of staffing, machines, and equipment</li>
<li>Analyzes, evaluates, and identifies production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems based on specific performance criteria</li>
<li>Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality &ndash; practice and teach processes to drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) identification and continuous improvement</li>
<li>Coordinates RIW (Rapid Improvement Workshop) or Kiazen mini-events to promote innovation and process improvements (safety, quality, efficiency)</li>
<li>Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems; manage priorities to meet schedules and production requirements</li>
<li>Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, ISO certification, etc.</li>
<li>Maintains and report out on KPI (Key Process Indicators) for area/product</li>
<li>Consults with engineering staff relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products</li>
<li>Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>

Education and Experience:

<li>Associates Degree in Business or Management preferred or equivalent combination and education in Manufacturing Operations or related field</li>
<li>A minimum of two years prior strategic planning and supervisory experience is strongly preferred</li>
</ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>This position directs and manages the HOLT Manufacturing Welders, Fabricators, Technicians, Machinists, Material Handlers, Kitters, and Painters. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, and developing of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints/concerns and resolving problems, and ensuring consistent application of organizational needs.</li>

Section Manager

<div>The Safety Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and refining HOLT safety training curriculum specifically targeted towards Company and customer safety sensitive employees. This role is responsible for maintaining, promoting, and protecting our Safety and Values Based Leadership culture. This will be achieved through training classes, introductory coaching, customized workshops, and providing facilitation services.

Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT&rsquo;s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Develops, facilitates, and delivers high-quality, interactive instructor-led training, coaching, custom workshops, co-facilitation with safety dept., and leadership development.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Collaborates with operational partners, Safety Team and Safety Training Manager to evaluate, design, curate, and deliver product specific safety training.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Continually acquires personal training skills and learning techniques to ensure optimal retention and resources required for productive training presentation and development.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Serves as a resource for other Holt University business units to ensure collaboration, content integration, and appropriate safety content.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Researches and recommends new content/enhancements in alignment with our Values Based Leadership and safety culture.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Acts as a Safety Training Consultant for Company stores to ensure the resolution of critical safety training problems and the development of employee job skills and competencies.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Partners with Safety Training Manager to develop new safety training personnel; serves as an informal leader.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Serves as a consultant and informal leader providing feedback, influencing safety decisions, and redirecting unsafe behaviors as needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Makes immediate decisions when observing unsafe behavior.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Serves as key contact for negotiating and maintaining MSHA trainer contracts and safety vendors.</li></ul>

Education and Experience:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Smith System Driver Trainer, MSHA Instructor, CAT START Instructor, OSHA 501 and 511 certified, Commercial Driver's License and Certified Safety and Health Official.</li></ul>

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Safety Trainer

<div>Job Summary: The Maintenance Solutions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the team schedule, work order management, and promoting maintenance agreements for the service department. This position is also responsible for ensuring all company safety practices and procedures are being adhered to while planning and performing their assigned work.
