<div>The District Sales Manager is responsible for the sales of the organization's products in a specified district or major geographical area. This position sells the Company's products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation; in addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services. 


The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. 


Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)</li>
<li>Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT&rsquo;s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission</li>
<li>Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals</li>
<li>Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly</li>
<li>Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates</li>
<li>Advises dealers and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques</li>
<li>Assigns sales territory to sales representatives</li>
<li>Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales</li>
<li>Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product</li>
<li>Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives</li>
<li>Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals</li>
<li>Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units</li>
<li>Analyzes and controls expenditures of district to conform to budgetary requirements</li>
<li>Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion</li>
<li>Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition</li>
<li>Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work</li>
<li>Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Strong technical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment and rental industry</li>
<li> Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data</li>
<li> Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems</li>
<li> Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention</li>
<li> Excellent oral and written communication skills</li>
<li> Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups</li>
<li> Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade</li>
<li> Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills</li>
<li> Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</li>
<li> Ability to coach and mentor less senior sales staff</li>
<li>Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations</li>
<li>The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects</li>
<li>Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making</li>
<li>Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness</li>
<li> Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations</li>
<li>Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences</li></ul> 


Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business or related field preferred</li>
<li>Driven and results oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets</li></ul> 


Supervisory Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>This position directs and manages the Texas First sales team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li></ul> 


Travel:
 <ul><li>Up to 50% travel</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li></ul>

<li>Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions</li></ul>
