The Installation Assistant allows the Lead Installer to focus on installing and problem solving at the job site. The Installer will assist the lead installer with basic install functions, retrieving tools, materials when needed, and keeping a clean and safe work environment. This position is responsible for loading install materials at the beginning of the day, and assisting the clean up at the end of the day. The position supports an experienced installer, and is an entry level position. Additionally, the Installation Assistant is intended to be a training program for potential growth.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&middot; Effectively prepares the job site for set up and tear down&middot; Demonstrates competency and confidence necessary to complete all installation duties&middot; Installation of products to manufacturer specs and building code requirements&middot; Collaborates with Lead Installer to provide Signature Service to all customers&middot; Takes part in and leads safety&middot; Maintains a clean and safe work environment&middot; Complete installation, safety, and other required trainings&middot; Promotes a positive team environment&middot; Demonstrates self-leadership and personal accountability&middot; Builds and sustains a positive relationship with coworkers and customers&middot; Performs other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments. Must maintain absolute confidentiality. Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.&middot; High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience&middot; Trade school diploma/certification desired&middot; Two years&rsquo; general carpentry experience desired&middot; Ability to work at heights on ladders, planks, roofs, etc.&middot; Must possess attention to detail&middot; Hold high standard of integrityWORKING CONDITIONS:&middot; Constantly positions self to remove/install products at various levels&middot; Ascend/Descend ladders or other various equipment to work at heights&middot; Lifting equipment or products up to 75lbs&middot; Frequent work performed while standing&middot; Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel&middot; Operating power tools&middot; Exposure to elements outdoors&middot; Potential for animal exposure (cats/dogs/bees etc.)&middot; Pre-Employment Drug ScreenHome Solutions Midwest is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
