Primary Responsibilities
<ul><li>Greet, assist, and lead customers to product politely</li><li>
Actively stock, merchandise, and correct product</li><li>
Build and fill displays as needed</li><li>
Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety procedures</li><li>
Transportation of goods within department</li><li>
Ensuring Health and Safety Codes, checking for pricing and expiration, and maintaining an organizational standard area.</li><li>
To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, assisting within other departments as needed to service customers.</li><li>
Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department.</li><li>
The capability to understand merchandising labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper invoices and order forms.</li><li>
Ability to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.</li><li>
To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Pick up/remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the sales floor or customers&rsquo; pathway immediately.</li><li>
To understand the operation, safety requirements and restraints of a baler, case cutter, pallet jack (must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack and baler).</li><li>
To move damaged/unsalable and &quot;returnable&quot; products from shelves to the backroom, sorting the materials for return to the damage reclaim center.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
</li><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li><li>
Prior Experience in related field or industry</li></ul>
Specific tasks
<ul><li>Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store</li><li>
Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas</li><li>
Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations</li><li>
Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely</li><li>
Proper usage of store phone and intercom systems</li></ul>
Work Environment Note:
Inside work with transitions of heat/cold/humidity/dust from receiving/entrance and exit doors/parking lot areas.

Produce Clerk
Primary Responsibilities
<ul><li>Greet, assist, and ring out all customers politely</li><li>
Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety procedures</li></ul>
Ensuring Health and Safety Codes, checking for pricing and expiration, and maintaining an organizational standard area.<ul><li>
To check, record, and retain cooler/freezer temperatures and maintenance</li><li>
Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department</li><li>
To verify and successfully adjust the display of product so that displays are full, color contrast is emphasized, product is rotated, commodities are grouped, tables are set to the season, and adequate space has been allocated for high impulse/demand items.</li><li>
To perform preparation of the backroom for receipt of merchandise, checking the load for quality/shortage/overage and code-dating all case items in the cooler, sorting cases by quality and degree of ripeness, storage of back stock, verification of the merchandise against the invoice.</li><li>
Ability to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.</li><li>
To perform organize the cooler/freezer/preparation area for receipt of merchandise, verify the merchandise against the invoice, inspect the delivery for shortages/damage and quality, sort cases for stocking or product preparation and code-date all case items in the cooler/freezer.</li><li>
To perform the computing of retail price from cost, complete price changes, PLU file and scale system maintenance, supervise the manual price-marking/labeling of merchandise without a UPC code.</li><li>
To perform the movement of damaged/unsalable and &quot;returnable&quot; products from shelves to the backroom, sorting of the materials, the return of damaged product to the warehouse for credit and the re-processing of product for sale or marking the product down in price.</li></ul>
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Produce Clerk reports directly to the Produce Department Manager.

Meat Cutter
Full Time-Hourly
Primary Responsibilities
<ul><li>To identify the various cuts of meat, to breakdown cut and trim all meat products as directed by company standards, weigh, wrap/package products in a clean, neat and attractive package.</li><li>
To greet customers, respond to customer questions/requests/complaints and explain store policies in a courteous manner, as well as to write down customers&rsquo; special orders/requests</li><li>
To review the perishable department Communication Board daily and follow the guidelines for intercom announcements.</li><li>
To prepare/organize the cooler/freezer/backroom/preparation area for receipt of merchandise, verify the merchandise against the invoice, inspect the delivery for quality/shortages/damage, sort cases for stocking or product preparation and code-date all case items in the cooler/freezer.</li><li>
To load stocking carts/pallets, transport cases/product to sales floor/ cooler/freezer/product preparation area either on stocking carts or pallets, match the case strip to the shelf/case tag/stock, open cases, place merchandise in the designated cooler/freezer/case/shelf/display position/area, check the product code/freshness date and &quot;face/front&quot;/rotate each product on display.</li><li>
To understand the operations, safety requirements and restraints of a baler, case cutter, pallet jack, pricing gun, grinder, tenderizer, saw, knife, slicer, scales, wrapper, (must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack, baler, grinder, tenderizer, saw and slicer).</li></ul>
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Journeyman Meat Cutter reports directly to the Meat Department Manager.
Qualifications<ul><li>
Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
</li><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li><li>
Prior meat cutting experience</li></ul>
Specific tasks
<ul><li>Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 75 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezer, and up to 10 yards.
</li><li>Maintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areas</li><li>
Care for signs, banners, and debris from daily operations</li><li>
Accurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchers</li><li>
Respond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politely</li><li>
Proper usage of store phone and intercom systems</li></ul><ul><li>
To supervise/perform the checking of case and cooler temperatures 4 times daily utilizing the time keeping system to record each check.
</li><li>To clean and sanitize department floors, mirror, case, racks, tables, cooler, freezer, department equipment, product-preparation area, and shelves. Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.</li><li>
Read production-equipment gauges/controls, case labels/strips, equipment and chemical-warning labels, signs, tags, shelf signs, code dates, invoices, temperature gauges, reports, numbers and aisle markers.</li></ul>
