The Children's 0-19 Service brings together health visitors and school nurses to deliver the Healthy Child Programme which aims to improve public health outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen to sponsor highly motivated qualified nurses interested in undertaking the MSc/PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing. We are looking for nurses interested in training as school nurses. Students hoping to access this programme must be currently registered with the NMC as a Midwife or Nurse in any field of nursing including adult, child, learning disability or mental health. The post holder will undertake the required study with the affiliated university achieving outcomes in both practice and university-based learning. They will be required to work within the community setting, facilitated by the Practice assessor/supervisor.
 
The course is a full-time course comprising of an academic component (50% of the course) at University and Practical Placement (50% of the course) anywhere within the Community (Hackney and City of London)
 
The postholder is expected to work towards gaining the standards of proficiency for entry to the NMC register/recordable for Specialist Community Practitioner.
