Homestead provides care in a Senior Living Facility in Westland and is hiring a Resident Care Supervisor who will act as a key point of contact for residents, business leaders, managers, and families to ensure that company goals and milestones are met. 
The supervisor will lead the caregivers with a positive attitude and respond to all the needs of the residents. This is an on-call position. Must have good communication skills with all levels of staff and management. Previous experience caring for seniors and managing care staff is a requirement. This position will be helping our dementia residents. Love for seniors is a must! 
Previous experience caring for seniors, managing care staff and able to be on-call as needed, are requirements.
This is a morning shift position 7:00-3:00
Full time 
Duties include but not limited to:
<ul><li>Maintain employee files
</li><li>Review shift supervisor checklists</li><li>
Cover open shifts as needed, including call offs. Keep on-call phone</li><li>
Assist residents with care: dressing, bathing and toileting
</li><li>Follow up on issues, review 24 hours logs &ndash;corrective actions for med errors, absences, etc.
</li><li>Assess any care complaints
</li><li>Payroll &ndash; review for missed punches, missed lunches etc. and follow up</li><li>
Enter shift pick-ups and shift trades
</li><li>Create schedules for staff and prepare shift assignments</li><li>
Schedule and interview applicants
</li><li>Conduct QA audits, review Incident reports/med errors and put interventions/training in place &ndash; involve nurse as necessary
</li><li>Meet with each new admit to discuss needs and expectations, audit of med waiver and private pay charting, updates to med waiver counselors, med cart audit every other week
</li><li>Order clinical supplies
</li><li>Conduct monthly care audit on all resident assistants, conduct monthly med pass audit on all med tech&rsquo;s,
</li><li>Ensure government forms are completed and correct</li></ul>

Requirements needed:<ul><li>
Prior experience managing a senior living facility (2 years). Dementia unit is a plus</li><li>
Able to be on-call for all three shifts, as needed</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and delegate responsibilities to the appropriate individuals</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations</li><li>
Proficient in organizational, time management skills</li><li>
Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills</li><li>
Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills</li><li>
Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours as needed for resident care/services, must be available to our residents at peak service times and as needed</li></ul><div>
