 Part-time Position
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must be able to multi-task and work politely with senior residents
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with multiple tools, troubleshoot problems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Timely completion of turning rooms
 </li>
 <li>
 Handling minor repairs particularly relating to the repair of bathroom and kitchen equipment, changing light bulbs, and general maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Providing assistance with miscellaneous tasks related to the visual appearance and upkeep of the property
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of any maintenance issues or occurrences and to seek guidance and support from the supervisor but must be able to perform duties under minimal supervision

Maintenance Technician

 is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care to our residents in
 
 Northville, MI.
 
 
 
 The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.
 
 
 
 No Licenses Or Certifications Required.
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 Must be 18 years old.
 </li>

 High school diploma or GED.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to pass a criminal background check.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with the elderly.

 Able to lift 50 pounds.
 </li>
 <li>
 Every other weekend is required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reliable transportation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Driver&rsquo;s license or ID.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

 Schedule
 
 
 
 Resident Aides will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts.

 Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.

 Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.

 Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assisting other team members with their duties.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete all required documents and charting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
 </li>
 <li>
 Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
