Job Overview Join the Honeywell GC Maintenance Team and play a vital role in creating and maintaining pristine, playable fairways and greens. In this position, you will work closely with our Superintendent to prepare the golf course daily and ensure the conditions meet the expectations set forth by the Director of Golf and the Honeywell GC Board of Directors. This paid position is an exciting opportunity to work outside in a beautiful environment and offers an opportunity to learn more about agronomy and the day to day operating's of a golf course.Duties<ul><li>Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming, to keep the course looking its best.</li><li>Use hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively for turf care and landscaping projects.</li><li>Prepare bunkers (sand traps) for play by hand raking and operating a powered sand pro machine.</li><li>Properly change cups and move flags on greens as needed</li><li>Maintain a clean golf course by picking up trash, disposing of twigs, and other debris.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience or interest in golf course maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided.</li><li>Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and gardening machinery safely and responsibly.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep and safety standards.</li><li>Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaborative outdoor projects.</li></ul>Availability<ul><li>Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Hours are predominately in the morning until the early afternoon, but can be flexible.</li><li>This is a seasonal position that usually last from late March until the end of October. A year round position may be available depending on experience and qualifications.</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Bi weekly of pay of $12-$16 an hour</li><li>20-35 hours per week.
