Job Title: </b>Buyer/Planner/Supply Chain</div><p></p><p><b><br>
Job Summary:</b></p><p>
The Buyer/Planner/Supply Chain is responsible for purchasing materials, managing material requirements, and nurturing supplier relationships and managing inbound and outbound shipments. This role is pivotal in maintaining an uninterrupted flow of materials and services, optimizing inventory investment, and ensuring that the receiving and shipping processes meet the company standards for accuracy and timeliness while contributing to our competitive edge in the precision machining industry.</p><p><b>
Supervisory Responsibilities: </b>None</p><p><b>
 </b><b>Duties/Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><ul><li>
Purchase products competitively to meet production demands while minimizing costs.</li></ul></li></ul><p>
Supplier Management:</p><ul><li>
Select suppliers based on product type, quality standards, and partnership potential.</li><li>
Negotiate contracts covering costs, warranties, delivery schedules, and handling procedures.</li><li>
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, providing feedback and fostering continuous improvement.</li></ul><br>

Purchasing Cycle Oversight:<ul><li>
Manage the entire purchasing cycle, including generating requisitions, creating purchase orders (POs), following up on POs, coordinating goods reception, and processing final payments.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records throughout the procurement process.</li></ul></li><li>
Inventory Optimization:<ul><li>
Keep inventory investment to a minimum without compromising production needs.</li><li>
Ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials and services to support manufacturing operations.</li></ul></li><li>
Cross-Functional Collaboration:<ul><li>
Work closely with internal departments to understand material requirements and address procurement-related issues promptly.</li><li>
Provide insights on market trends and potential impacts on material availability and pricing<b>.</b></li></ul></li><li>
Shipping &amp; Receiving<ul><li>
Oversee the receipt of inbound materials and inspection for accuracy and quality.</li><li>
Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments to customers, vendors and other facilities.</li><li>
Generate shipping documents.</li><li>
Ensure all shipments meet customer requirements.</li><li>
Manager freight carriers, track shipments, and resolve delivery issues.</li></ul></li></ul><p><b>

Education and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>
Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum of 2-3 years of procurement experience required.</li><li>
Experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment is strongly preferred.</li></ul></li><li>
Education:<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree in business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Physical Requirements:</b></p><p>
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</p><p>
