</div><div>We're seeking a Structures Cost Estimator / Constructability Specialist who understands how projects are built and can translate that knowledge into reliable estimates, identify risk, constructability evaluations, and help project teams make better decisions before construction begins.<br>
</div><div>This role is ideal for experienced construction professionals who want to remain engaged in major infrastructure projects while shifting focus to strategy, planning, and problem-solving rather than daily field emergencies.</div><div>

Position is remote and part-time work eligible, but the candidate must live in the Wasatch Front or Northern Utah area.</div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3><br>
<ul>
<li>
Develop conceptual, historical, and production-based estimates for Structural Heavy Highway and Heavy Civil infrastructure projects</li>
<li>Coordinate with industry contacts to maintain knowledge of current pricing and bidding conditions to aid in the development of project budgets</li>
<li>Provides structural estimates, cost control strategies, cost forecasting, constructability reviews, and risk analysis for construction projects</li>
<li>Maintains files of project estimates and supporting backup documentation for reference during project execution</li>
<li>Work individually and with project teams to assist clients with estimating services (both pre and post letting) during plan and specification development and change order negotiations</li></ul><br>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</b></h3><br>
<ul>
<li>
BS in Engineering, Construction, or related field plus 7 years&rsquo; experience <b>OR</b> more than 15 years&rsquo; experience in structural heavy civil estimating, construction management, field engineering, and/or estimating</li>
<li>Working knowledge in use of HCSS HeavyBid and/or other estimating software applications</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Ability to work in a collaborative environment with project teams and owner&rsquo;s representatives</li>
<li>Knowledge of state and local construction specifications and software systems</li></ul><br>

As an Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with our Engineers and professional staff. The role will handle all administrative and clerical tasks including managing calendars, sorting mail, and providing general assistance. The admin assistant may also be responsible for event planning and meeting setup and implementation.

  What are the core responsibilities for the role?

   Manage calendars and schedule meetings/conference calls while demonstrating problem-solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last-minute changes
  </li>
  <li>
   Proactively develop relationships with key internal employees, gaining recognition as a team resource
  </li>
  <li>
   Use appropriate judgment and knowledge when sharing sensitive information
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, and filing
  </li>
  <li>
   Interface with all levels of the organization and with external customers in a professional and effective manner
  </li>
  <li>
   Event planning for an office of 40+ employees (Christmas parties, lunches, etc.)
  </li>
  <li>
   Purchase supplies for the office including breakroom supplies
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain organization and cleanliness of shared office spaces including conference rooms and break areas
  </li>

   Performs other administrative support and special projects as assigned
