<div><p>JOB LOCATION - Carolina Forest Library<br>

Assists in the daily operation of the library branch. Performs circulation duties and assists Library customers. May provide educational services to patrons, conduct outreach programs, help with interlibrary loan, catalog materials, etc. Reports to Branch Manager or Branch Librarian.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Duties for this Position</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Performs circulation tasks such as checking in/out library materials, checking in courier delivery, collecting fines, issuing new cards, pulling holds, and processing new books, periodicals and Interlibrary Loans (6-8 hours a day may be spent at customer service desks)</li><li>
Performs customer service tasks such as answering the phone, answering directional questions, and assisting customers in the library</li><li>
Processes payments, reconciles cashiering drawer and assists with deposits</li><li>
Schedules meeting spaces and registers customers for classes/programs/events</li><li>
Provides library services including readers&rsquo; advisory, answering reference questions, assisting customers with computers, devices and copier, helping customers find print and digital materials, interlibrary loans, cataloging, and planning and implementing programs</li><li>
Performs upkeep and cleaning of Special Collections (i.e. Adventure Packs, TonieBoxes&reg;/Tonie Character Sets, Discovery Kits, Wi-Fi Hotspots, etc.)</li><li>
Creates displays and marketing materials for related programs and events</li><li>
Performs collection maintenance such as shifting, discarding and weeding</li><li>
Prepares monthly reports, statistics, and general correspondence</li><li>
Shelves materials</li><li>
Performs other clerical duties as needed</li></ul><ul><li>

<p></p><div><ul><li>Associate degree supplemented by three to five years of library experience, and/or an equivalent of education, training, and experience</li><li>
Exemplary customer service skills</li><li>
Excellent computer skills</li><li>
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines and office equipment</li><li>
Must be able to pass required pre-employment physical and background check</li></ul><ul><li>
